Cottage Hostel

This 160 year old guesthouse, located in one of the narrow streets in the oldest part of Lijang, is now owned by a young enthousiastic traveler who is very eager to exchange stories with her guests. The traditional garden with the history of the guesthouse written on its walls invites you to enjoy the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere in one of the swingchairs.
Not only is breakfast included, but travelers will feel right at home as they can cook their own food which they have bought at the local day market. The owner will be thrilled to taste your favourite dish, and will be glad to teach you how to prepare hers.
All the well designed rooms are finished off by a free Wi-Fi connection, electrical warmth blankets, a 24-hour hotshower and a Western toilet. In the colder days a fire is lit in the courtyard which not only adds to the cozy atmosphere but also warms you up.
If you stay at The Cottage you will have the cultural exchange of a homestay, and the feeling of having found a home away from home.

Directions

The easiest way to get to The Cottage is coming from Sifang Square in the Old Town. From here turn into Qi Yi Xiang and it's the 11th narrow street (5 min walking) on the right.
