Backeddy Resort And Marina

Backeddy Resort and Marina (formerly known as Egmont Marina) is located in Egmont on B.C's beautiful Sunshine Coast. Located approximately 1.5 hours drive from Langdale Ferry terminal and 10 minutes from Earl's Cove it is the perfect location to get away from it all.

Located within minutes by water from the Skookumchuck Rapids (Sechelt Rapids), arguably the world's largest salt water rapid. Backeddy is the ideal place for White-water Kayaking enthusiasts to set up base camp for surfing the Skook. For those less adventurous it is also an excellent starting point for Sea Kayaking, Diving, Walking and Wildlife watching. Our friendly staff can help organise tours to a range of destinations including the stunning Princess Louisa Inlet, home of Chatterbox Falls


For those who just want to relax our cabins with wood stoves are the ideal place to curl up with a good book and take in the gorgeous ocean views. Our Pub and Restaurant provides excellent meals from 12-8pm Wednesday to Sunday and remains open until 10pm serving a range of beverages. If you're brave enough why not try the famous Skookum Burger?

We have a range of accommodation types available including Tent and RV sites, Cabins and Motel Units. We also offer moorage for boats.

Directions

From Langdale Ferry Terminal
Head west on Horseshoe Bay-Langdale, continue straight onto Sunshine Coast Hwy for approximately 2.8 km then turn left at Stewart Rd, take a slight right at North Rd. Turn right at Gibsons Way, continue on Sunshine Coast Hwy for 20.2 km. Turn left at Wharf Rd continue on Teredo St continue on Sunshine Coast Hwy for 51.9 km. Turn right at Egmont Rd, slight right to stay on Egmont Rd, turn left at Maple Rd, slight right at Backeddy Rd then look for our sign on the right.
From Earl’s Cove Ferry Terminal
Head east on Sunshine Coast Hwy toward Greentree Rd, turn left at Egmont Rd, slight right to stay on Egmont Rd, turn left at Maple Rd, slight right at Backeddy Rd then look for our sign on the right.
There is a public bus from Langdale Ferry Terminal to Sechelt and also the Malaspina Coach line runs a service to Earl’s Cove, however at this stage there is no service from these locations to Egmont.
