Description
The 11 hectares where the resort is located were chosen from the sea during a boat trip made in 1966 by Sir Nelson, an Englishman who built the development inspired by the most luxurious area of Sardinia. In 1990, the first thalassotherapy centre in Portugal was built at VILALARA. The creation of this centre for seawater-based treatments and therapies was the work of Jean Bobet of Biarritz, one of the most internationally renowned figures in thalassotherapy. The spacious rooms are decorated in shades of green and blue, reflecting the ResortÃÂs surroundings and the spirit of nature that inspires it. All rooms have a private terrace with a view of the swimming pool or the sea. With direct access to Praia das Gaivotas beach, the Resort offers exclusive service and its own beach facilities. But you can also opt for a walk through the 12 hectares of the resortÃÂs lush gardens, filled with shrubs, plants and flowers from all over the world ÃÂ a gardenerÃÂs delight.**The hotel will remain closed by reforms from November 3rd, 2008 to March 14th, 2009**.
