Welcome to la Casa de la Luna. Our hostel is attended by its owners and we will make you feel at home. Pretty good location and beautiful landscapes just 500 metres from the beach and 1 km away from the town centre.

We offer you the possibility to chill out as much time as you want while you discover the charming and amazing surrounding areas in this wild part of the country. Whatever you want to do, we will give you all the info and tips you need for you to have fun and a great time.


We organize shuttles and rides to visit the most beautiful places close by, such as Cabo Polonio, Bosque de Ombues, Valizas, Sierras the Rocha and we also arrange night tours if you want to enjoy the anmissable night life in La Pedrera and La Paloma, other wise if you want just to lie down, feel free to stay at the hostel making new friends, listening to music, playing games, watching TV cable and sharing BBQ.

There is nothing better than lying in the sun, surfing in la playa del Barco and taking a walk through the wild and sandy beaches from La Pedrera, and believe me, most of your dreams will come true.

As accommodation we offer you shared mixed rooms and double rooms with private bathroom and sea views, huge living room where to spend good moments and fully equipped kitchen and barbeques to enjoy the best 'asados'.

We are located at the km 230 in Punta Rubia La Pedrera. Local buses get in to La Pedrera from everywhere (MOntevideo,Rocha, Punta del Este, Valizas, Punta del Diablo, Chuy, etc) and from la Pedrera to our hostel we offer you free pick up through out the day, to make your arrival easier and more comfortable. Give us a call upon arrival.
