The Beach Lodge Hostel

The Beach Lodge is the only beachfront, budget accommodation in Cape Town - the white, sandy beach and rolling surf are on our doorstep!

Enjoy the relaxed holiday atmosphere of a grand old Edwardian lodge, offering spacious and comfortable accommodation in clean and fresh rooms. The single, double, twin and family rooms are simply furnished and have varnished wooden floors.
Linen and towels are provided.

Communal showers for ladies and gents are on two floors.
A large self-catering kitchen is open to a sea-view dining room which leads out onto a 20m balcony overlooking the beach.

There are banks, a Post Office, the railway station, supermarkets and shops in the nearby area and our neighbours include restaurants and surf-shops.


There are many recreational opportunities available such as: spectacular walks along the sea-wall to the next villages, the nearby yacht club on the lagoon and various watersports, windsurfing, paddle-skiing etc.

The Beach Lodge is very centrally situated with easy access by road or by train to all major tourist destinations.

Directions

From the airport, take the M2 to Cape Town. There are 2 offramp signs indicating 'Muizenberg'. The 1st leads onto the M5 and the 2nd leads onto the M3. Both M5 & M3 highways will take you south towards False Bay.
It is preferable however to take the M3.
The M3 highway will travel along the Constantia mountains and end at a T-junction at the base of the Muizenberg mountains. Turn left and at the next T-junction, turn right onto the Main Rd. Travel through the suburb of Lakeside to the next suburb of Muizenberg.
At the 2nd set of traffic lights, turn left into Atlantic Road. Pass under the railway bridge. At the next 4-way intersection turn right onto Beach Road. Follow the road along the beachfron to where it ends at a large traffic circle. The Beach Lodge is a ginger-coloured 3-story building on the circle.
