Intended for lovers of rural tourism, this lovely space, is located in the historic town of Terena, - located in the district of Evora, more specifically between the regions of Alandroal, Vila Viçosa, Reguengos de Monsaraz and Redondo.

Far from stress of cities, the Herdade dos Barros is an excellent choice for those who like to assess the nature, wake up with the sound characteristic of areas of countryside, enjoy the traditional food , and explore the existing heritage throughout the Alto Alentejo. For fans of aquatic adventures, they can enjoy the inviting waters of Lucefecit Dam (located 100 metres from the Herdade), and yet, make a pic - nic in the shadow of majestic trees (Azinheiras) that surround the space environment.


You can also enjoy tours of the traditional lanes of the village; visit the magnificent Castle and the legendary Shrine of “Nossa Senhora da Boa Nova”, and go one of several marked trails throughout the county. On hot summer nights can opt for the numerous parties that arise in all villages and towns nearby and enjoy the bars and discos coming from there.

Or our coffee bar is the ideal spot to let a long and active day draw to a leisurely end. Watch the sun set from the terrace or relax in front of the fireplace in the guest lounge. Thanks to the hotel’s tranquil location, you are ensured an undisturbed night of sleep.

Directions

From Lisbon follow signs for 'Ponte Vasco da Gama' and then motorway A6 direction Espanha/Elvas. Exit motorway at Borba.Then follow signs for Alandroal. Keep on the main road for Terena for +/- 10 kms until you see a sign on your right hand side indicating 'HOSPEDAGEM - CAFÉ RESTAURANTE and you have arrived to Herdade dos Barros.
