NSTS - Hibernia Residence & Hostel is the place for the new generation who seeks hospitality, friendships, intercultural relations and fun. Its warm, welcoming and caring environment combines well with the freshness and colour of its comfortably furnished rooms to provide a truly memorable stay.

The NSTS Hibernia Residence and Hostel is located just 20-25 minutes by public transport (see map for DIRECTIONS) away from the capital city Valletta, the island's main bus station. It is also just 2 minutes away from the rocky beach and a nice Promenade where you can enjoy a pleasant walk in the Sun and by the sea.

The islands main nightlife area filled with numerous bars, restaurants, discos, cinemas, bowling alleys, gaming houses, internet cafes for you to enjoy is only minutes away.


NSTS Hibernia Residence and Hostel offers 1 to 4 bedded self-catering studios in the Residence, and 6 to 8 bedded rooms in the Hostel - separate male and female wings. Those are particularly low-cost lodgings with double-deck bunk beds, own locker and key for rucksack with own safe deposit box (refundable deposit of eur 25), shelf and rail, bedside shelf, common wash-basins, showers and toilets in the ratio of 1 to every 5 beds.

Each wing is equipped with a common dining area, large refrigerator, microwave baking oven, electric four plate cooking hobs, utensils, crockery, cutlery and personal food and drink open storage racks for each hosteler.

The Residence is made up of single, twin, triple and four-bedded studios that contain their own private shower/bathroom and own private kitchenette similarly equipped as the Hostel wings. The private studio facilities include safe deposit box (refundable deposit of eur25), heater/ceiling ventilator, energy saving and environmental friendly devices, sound reducing glazing, desk, study area, WiFi, internet and direct international dialing communication (all at extra cost) and are ideal for long term residents at discounted rates.

Cleaning is twice weekly and bed linen change is once weekly. Towels are included in the studio rates and are changed twice weekly. Bring your own towels for the Hostel wing or hire a towel for Eur 2.00 for one week. Cleaning of the kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery is not included.

If you share a studio or a hostel room you must clean the shower/bathroom and kitchen after each use in respect of your sharing friends. If you arrive in an occupied studio or hostel room, expect the place to be used by others and not cleaned just for your arrival.

Common amenities include a breakfast room where daily buffet breakfast is served from 07:45 to 09:00 hours (Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 08:15 to 10:00) and which is available for private use, study or meetings at other times, an internet cafe (at economic rates), a coin operated laundry and drying facilities, vending machines for coffees, drinks, snacks, lift to all floors, roof-top meeting lounge, a roof-top sun terrace and summer evening meeting spot, studios accessible to persons with special needs, multi-channel TV and video, an internal 24 hours closed circuit monitoring system and electronic door devices for your safety and comfort, underlying food minimarket, butcher shop and post box.

An information and help desk is available during the weekday mornings between 07:30 and 13:30 hours and between 07.00 and 10.30 on the weekends, while an emergency contact number is available at all other times. Check out time is by 10:00 hours and assisted check in time is between 13:00 and 14:00 hours. For later check in timings and night arrivals you must always send an e-mail at least 48 hours in advance to jmica@nsts.org stating your arrival flight number and the time in order that arrangements be made for you. You may also request an airport transfer service up to 72 hours in advance.

Directions

You can request a private airport transfer from us or take a taxi or take a public transport bus no.8 from Malta International Airport to Valletta main bus terminus. From there take either of the bus numbers 62.64, 66, 68 to Balluta Bay in Sliema. When you alight walk in the direction of the church before which you will find the steep hill with steps called Triq Scicluna. Climb this hill and walk straight through Triq Sant'Injazju to the first corner Triq Mons G Depiro. You will see the large blue and white minimarket sign ORION STORE and find NSTS Hibernia Residence and Hostel above it.
