Welcome to the Phetdavanh family Guesthouse!

The guesthouse offers rooms with one double bed or two single beds. Every room comes with

We have a clean bathroom with shower and western style toilet. On the first floor there is a hammock balcony with 5 hammocks.

As you may know, Muang Ngoi is a remote place without access to regular power, but the guesthouse generates its own electricity from a waterfall in the jungle, so all rooms have 24 hour power and light!

The family can cook authentic Laotian food and breakfast on request (try the sticky rice with coconut and banana)


For the more adventurous traveller, we offer bungalows on the riverside, behind the buddhist temple (Phetdavanh 2). They can be seen on the far left when coming from the boat dock.

We have our own boat with seats with pillows and toilet inside which can be chartered on request for pick-up in Luang Prabang or Nong Kiau / Muang Ngoi. Especially the trip from Luang Prabang is very scenic. Onward connection north over the river to Muang Sing is also possible. Please inquire for price.

Directions

From Luang Prabang we offer a private boat. This route is very scenic and takes around 5 hours. Boat has soft seats and toilet inside. Please contact us by telephone

If travelling with public transport:

From Luang Prabang Northern Bus station you take the 09:30 bus to Nong Kiau. In Nong Kiau there is a connecting boat to Muang Ngoi Neua. The guesthouse is very easy to find: coming from the boat pier, you walk straight to the main street of Muang Ngoi Neua. From here you can see the sign saying 'Phetdavanh Guesthouse'.
