New changes... Bogota’s DN hostel is a renovated republican style house with comfortable, fresh & safe private rooms & dorms, common areas and great travel information. The hostel is located a few blocks away from the Bogota's main transportation system, at the emblematic Candelaria, a privileged neighbourhood centred for the ones that want to get to know the city with the best views of any hostel, overlooking the city centre & surrounded by picturesque mountains.

We invite our guests to enjoy the welcoming spaces chilling out at the outdoor-BBQ patio and the TV room, or to join the colonial pub for meeting up other fellow travellers, watch your favourite team in a wide screen TV or just to relax at the lounge.


As travellers we know the importance of having a clean, safe & cosy hostel, therefore in our place you will find really comfortable beds and free locker facilities, while the young staff will help you to find yourself at home.

The changes during its 7th month: The prices have diminished separating breakfast from the included price. There is still food and snacks as well as drink specials all day. Also, the hostel has improved their sound systems giving you the most comfortable staying as well and bringing a great atmosphere for everyone.

Directions

Here are some tips about how to get to the hostel from the basic 3 transport public and massive systems. At the end you will find advices in spanish that you can give to a taxi driver to find DN as easy as possible.

So, choose what suits you best from the following:

From the International Airport – El Dorado.
Once you go out from the immigration area, cross the street and catch the bus number “299 Germania Centro”. Ask the driver to tell you to get off at the round about at Calle 19 with Carrera 3rd.
Find the Carrera 4th and walk south on it towards Calle 11th where the library Luis Angel Arango is. Then walk up Two and a half blocks and you will find a purple and white building – the DN house – in the middle of the block on your left hand side. Price: Around 1300 COP = 0.8 US

From the Central Bus terminal.
After getting out of the terminal, catch the bus number “C-23 Moralba Germania”. Ask the driver to tell you to get off at Carrera 4th with Calle 11th at the Library Luis Angel Arango. Then walk up Two and a half blocks and you will find a purple and white building – the DN house – in the middle of the block on your left hand side. From the Transmilenio.
Get to the station “Las Aguas” or “Museo del Oro” and go to Avenida Jimenez with Carrera 4th. Then, walk south through Carrera 4th till you reach the corner with Calle 11th next to the library Luis Angel Arango. Then walk up Two and a half blocks and you will find a purple and white building – the DN house – in the middle of the block on your left hand side. If you decide to get a taxi from anywhere (bus terminal or aiport), write down the following suggestions about how to get tot DN, show it to the dirver and make sure the he takes you along the fastest way:

Primera opción: Tomar la avenida El Dorado hacia Monserrate. Luego pasar derecho por toda la Circunvalar hasta llegar a la Calle 10 y bajar por esa. Finalmente, rodeando la universidad de La Salle por el costado Norte, Calle 11, bajar hasta llegar al hostel la Calle 11 # 00 - 38. The hostel has a black flag hanging outside.

Segunda Opción: Tomar la carrera avenida El Dorado hasta llegar a la carrera 5a. Seguir derecho buscando tomar la carrera 4a. hasta atravesar la Avenida Jimenez. Seguir por la carrera 4a hasta llegar a la calle 10. Subir hasta la carrera cero y bordear a la Universidad de la Salle. Luego encontrarán el hostel sobre el costado norte de la universidad junto al parqueadero del costado norte en la Calle 11 # 00 - 38. The hostel has a black flag hanging outside.

Prices:
From the central bus terminal 10.000 till 12.500 (5 till 7 US)
From the Airport El Dorado: Between 17.500 and 22.000 (8 till 11 US). Remeber that there is an extra fee for orthering a cab at night.
