Gualala lies within the
"banana belt", a nearly fogless micro-climate involving about five miles of coastline from Gualala thru Anchor Bay. While the wind blows onshore for the rest of the coast it is practically offshore here, keeping the fog from drifting in. When the marine layer of fog blankets the coastline, to the north and south, Gualala often basks under clear blue skies watching the huge bank of fog offshore.
The village of Gualala lies at the southernmost edge of Mendocino County along Shoreline Highway One and perches on the bluffs overlooking the Gualala River and the Pacific Ocean beyond. Just 3/4 mile east of Highway One is the magnificent Gualala Arts Center, which hosts ongoing art openings and exhibits, concerts and live theatrical productions, lectures, classes and both arts-related & community events.


The beautiful Gualala River runs to the sea right in front of the village, and is home to river otter, osprey, egret, heron and many varieties of flora. Along the coast you can even see migrating whales from time to time.
The famous Sea Ranch Golf Course, a Scottish style course, is just a mile or so away. A great, scenic round of 18 holes in a grand north coast of California setting ! Other Activities:
kayaking, wildlife viewing, art gallerying. SeaWatch is a stone's throw from Physical Gym if you need to get in that workout or Four Eyed Frog Bookstore to pick up a good read. Famed Gualala Art Center which hosts ongoing art openings and exhibits, concerts and live theatrical productions, lectures, classes and both arts-related & community events, is just 2-3 miles away. SeaWatch welcomes you to different kind of "beach house" with a bright well lit exposure to the ocean and beach you come to a place like Gualala to enjoy. Your entrance into the great room with cathedral ceiling and fireplace as well as the overall nautical theme makes you feel at once at home. It's a warm place to interact with family &/or friends with the living, dining room and kitchen coming together. It also makes a very cozy place to relax with a good book or take in the HD LCD television and the good sound of the 5 speaker entertainment system.

Kids or their parents, will enjoy the board games or the ping pong table in the attached garage along with the dart board. Take a short walk down the road to Trinks Cafe near the Gualala Bluff Trail for delicious coffee, bakery goodies or even lunch. For a great barbecue place, Bones, just a block further has a pool table the kids will like with motorcycle and car memorabilia they'll love.

Open a window and listen to the surf! The upper and lower balcony decks give all a chance to take in the sea air while enjoying a book or a glass of wine. A gas barbecue gives you menu options and a tasty meal. These are just a few of the things we enjoy at SeaWatch, and you can too.
Sleeps & # of Bedrooms
Sleeps 4-5. 2 bedrooms on the lower level each with its own bathroom. The master bedroom has a very comfortable queen sized bed & its own TV connected to DirecTV. A master bath adjoining has a relaxing jacuzzi tub, plus shower. The second bedroom across hallway features 2 single beds and the roomy bathroom has a stall shower.

Both bedrooms open onto a shared lower deck which makes a great place to read a good book and listen to the sounds of the surf.
SeaWatch sleeps 4 comfortably plus there is a thick futon mattress and extra linens that makes fine sleeping for young folks,
Amenities
The satellite TV's (2) give you access to all of your favorite shows plus the extra features of DirecTV. At least a dozen stereo XM music channels are included. The TV can be played through the Panasonic entertainment system and the 5:1 speaker system. It will also accommodate your Ipod music player through direct plug in.

A DVD & CD library of movies and music that contain some children's titles is available for your enjoyment. A video rental is within walking distance for more choices.

Broadband Internet with WiFi .
Phone use: Verizon cell has limited reception in part of house, no other cell works on coast. A phone card pin number is available in the guest binder for guest long distance calls, if used thoughtfully.

Restrictions
Pet dogs that are well house trained, will mannered will be considered. Smoking is not allowed in or around SeaWatch. Children and students under 25 are allowed only with parents.
Directions
Gualala is on the North Coast of California on the border of Sonoma and Mendocino Counties just north of the Sea Ranch development. It is about a 3 hour drive north of San Francisco on California's world famous and scenic shoreline Highway 1. It is one hour south of famed Mendocino and one hour north of the Russian River.
