Posada Al Sur

Posada al Sur is located in the heart of la 'Ciudad Vieja' (Old City), historic and colonial centre of Montevideo.

Close to Montevideo's port, the 'rambla' (boulevard) and the city centre, its location allows you to move easily around the city. Surrounded by art galleries and colonial houses, the Posada acquires a unique charm you can only experience in this part of the city.

Posada al Sur is part of 'Retos al Sur', an alternative and fair tourism project. Here you can get information about our proposals of alternative tourism, within a philosophy of sustainable travel. We have as our reference the principles of Responsible and Fair Tourism of the italian association AITR. This means encouraging productive community experiences which value and promote local identities, social development and natural environment.


The main aim of the group is to open the Posada´s doors in a familiar atmosphere where visitors can feel as real 'Montevideano' citizens.

The house plays with past and present in it´s beautiful architectural lines, offering visitors what they need to relax and discover Uruguay.

Directions

We are are a few blocks from the Port of Montevideo. From the bus station you can take any bus to Ciudad Vieja until the corner Colón and 25 de Mayo, that is one block far away from the Posada.

From the airport you can take a taxi or a bus until the local Bus Terminal Rio Branco and then a taxi to the Posada.
