Canostra

Ca Nostra, meaning our home in Mallorqin, is a small property located in the pretty fishing harbour village of Cala Figuera. A home from home is what you'll get when you book a room at Ca Nostra.

Each individual double room has a TV, a ceiling fan, an ensuite bathroom and a large balcony complete with outside dining furniture.

The property also benefits from a fully equipped shared kitchen and a shared common area with comfortable seating and a large dining table.

WIFI internet is available in both your room and the common areas. This is free of charge.

Outside there is a swimming pool and terrace with sunbeds and more al fresco dining furniture. There is also a barbecue which can be used by prior arrangement with the management.

Cala Figuera itself is a beautiful fishing port, one of the only ones on the island which is still working. The harbour area is a two minute walk from Ca Nostra and is overlooked by restaurants and bars, all with fantastic views of the Med at it's very best. We will be happy to recommend the best restaurants to suit your budget.

The essence of a holiday in this beautiful village is relaxation although you do not have to travel far to take part in more adventurous pursuits.

The beaches and coves on the South East coast of the island are renound for their beauty, with Cala Mondrago which is 5km from Ca Nostra being featured in the Sunday Times Top 10 beaches in the worls and also winning an award from a major 'beachwatch' website. The nearest beach is Cala Santanyi which is 2km away and can easily be reached on foot, by bicycle or by car.

Many areas on the coast offer excellent water sports facilites and are becoming increasingly popular with the new breed of climbers from all over the world - the deep water soloing experts. The famous Es Pontas is at Cala Santanyi, 2km from the property.

Directions

Cala Figuera is 55km from Palma and 45km from Palma San Joan airport. The most cost effective way of travelling on the island of Mallorca is by hire car - there are numerous companies on the island offering this service and therefore the prices are very competetive. Please email if you require a reccommendation for a car hire company.

Taxi rides are expensive at approximately 60 euros each way from the airport and should probably be avoided unless absolutely necessary.

There is a bus service from the city of Palma, the cost being approximately 6 euros for a single journey. Email for further details as the timetable is subject to seasonal changes.

If you are not hiring a car we would recommend a transfer from the airport, available at any time of the day, and costing 15 euros per person. Please email with incoming flight details and we can arrange transfers with the cost being due to us on arrival at the property.
