
Los Tarrales Eco-lodge is situated on Atitlan Volcano and it is built with local natural materials. Activities in the reserve include hiking, bird watching, coffee tours, mountain biking, volcano climbing, and more.
It is built with local natural materials. We used bamboo and 'cedro' timber from the area. All materials are left in natural condition. We did not apply any chemical preservatives.
The lodge provides space for 10 persons. It has three dormitories and a lounge with dining space where meals are served, bar, and recreation area. The lodge is equipped with two bathrooms, one with hot shower.
It's possible to camp near the lake just for for 4 $.You can also rent e tent for 4 people for 6$ at the Eco-Lodge.

Directions
From Guatemala: By bus it will take you about three hours. Take a bus to Retalhuleu or Tecún Umán and get off in Cocales. There take a bus to San Lucas Tolimán or Panajachel and get off at the entrance to Los Tarrales. By car it will take about two hours.
From Antigua take a bus to Esquintla, and from there any bus to Tecun Umán or Retalhuleu and get off in Cocales. There you take a bus to Panajachel, Quiché or San Lucas Tolimán. Get off at the entrance to Los Tarrales.
From Panajachel you might take a boat to San Lucas Toliman and from there a bus (15 min.) to Patulul / Escuintla and get off in Los Tarrales.
