Eleonas Resorts

At the foot of Mount Idi (Psiloritis), in a green valley north of Zaros village, we have created «Eleonas» a resort with a difference.

«Eleonas» is made up of ten traditional-style bungalows with lofts which are magically situated on the slope of a valley at the exit of Agios Nikolaos’ Gorge, which leads to Rouvas Forest.

Directions

Our lodgings are located 42 kilometres away from the city of Heraklion, and 45 kilometres away from the airport.


Follow signposts for MOIRES-AGIA GALINI.

The first village you come to will be SIVAS and then AYGENIKI, VENERATO and AGIA VARVARA will follow. Follow the main road through AGIA VARVARA, and before you exit the village, you will see a signpost on your right, to ZAROS-KAMARES, where you turn right. There are only 17 kilometres left before you reach your destination. The next villages you meet are PANASOS-GERGERI-NIVRITOS, and after this you get to ZAROS.

Once you enter ZAROS, you turn to the right and follow the road. Drive through the square and once you have passed the very last house of the village, you will see a label which indicates ELEONAS and ZARO’S WATERS. You turn right and after one kilometre, you will see ELEONAS.

It would be useful for us to know your arrival time. There is also the possibility of renting a car and picking it up at the airport.
