Sakala Residence

You will find Sakala Residence apartments right in the centre of Tallinn, just in a few minutes walking distance (400 meters) from the medieval old town. Parking: for those who travel by car there is parking lot in front of the residence (not guarded).

ARRIVAL INFORMATION BY AIR

Located just 6 km from the Tallinn City center, the modern Tallinn Airport provides excellent facilities and a wide variety of services to meet the demands of all its customers.

From the airport to the city:

Bus number 2 leaves the airport for the city center every 20 minutes and operates from 7 AM until midnight. The price is 20 EEK (equals to 1,3 EUR). Tickets can be bought from the driver in cash in EEK. The city center bus stop is Laikmaa and it's located on Laikmaa street, between Tallink Hotel and Viru Centre. Distance from that bus stop to Sakala 16 is 800 meters. From the bus stop, you should go to left and cross the street (only underground) to Estonia pst. From there you should go straight, on the right you will see a small park, after the park Estonian National Opera. Cross the street in front of Estonian National Opera and you will arrive to Sakala street. Go along the street till you arrive to cross of Sakala and Kentmanni street. Cross also this and you will find Sakala 16 in 90 meters. There is a green wood building at the street but our building (white stone with some metal) is in the back of the green building.

ARRIVING BY TRAIN:
In case you are arriving by train, the easiest is to take the taxi to Sakala 16. The distance to Sakala Residence is 1 km. In case you wish to use public transportation, you can take tram number 1 or 2.

ARRIVING BY BUS:
Take tram number 4 near by Bus station, course to Tondi (Ülemiste- Tondi). Ride five stops and get out in the stop called Vabaduse väljak. Then walk little bit back towards
the Bus station and cross the street on the right hand. Now on the left hand You see Söögiplats and on the right hand Hansa bank. Between them is street Tatari. Go straight along this street until the first crosswise street. This is Sakala street. From there turn left, walk till you arrive to a light green house and behind this is Sakala residence (white stone house) - Sakala street 16.

ARRIVING BY TRAIN:
Take a tram number 1 (Kopli- Kadriorg) or number 2 (Kopli- Ülemiste). Ride four stops and get out of tram in stop Hobujaama. Then cross the street and take tram number 3 (Kadriorg-Tondi) or number 4 (Ülemiste-Tondi) and ride two stops and get out in the stop called Vabaduse väljak. Then walk a little bit back towards and cross the street on the right hand. Now on the left hand You see Söögiplats and on the right hand Hansa bank. Between them is street Tatari. Go straight along this street until the first crosswise street. This is Sakala street. From there turn left, walk till you arrive to a light green house and behind this is Sakala residence (white stone house) - Sakala Street 16.

TAXI:
There are taxi stands in airports, harbors, bus and train stations. The fare from the airport to the city center will cost around 100-150 EEK (6,7-10 EUR).
