Southern Star

The Southern Star Guesthouse is located in the centre of Split, just behind the National Theatre in the old town. It is only three minutes walk from the main promenade.

All transportation, including trains, buses and ferrys are between six and eight minutes walking distance.

Southern Star have clean, safe and comfortable accomodation. We offer five twin rooms with twin beds in each, sharing bathrooms across the corridor. There is also an apartment available with a private bathroom and two bedrooms, to accomodate four people. All bathrooms and bedrooms are cleaned daily. All linen and bedding is provided and there are wardrobes available in each room.

All guests are given a key to ensure secure entrance to the building and their individual room. There are storage facilities for motorbikes, bicycles and for luggage after check out.


As there is no reception desk please phone Juzna 10 minutes before you arrive. We prefer check-in to occur in the morning but are flexible to welcome guests at all hours.

Checking in - may be tolerated to midle night,acepting betwen 06 -22 hrs.

Southern Star is located at Ujeviceva poljana 3/1, Split.

From the ferry, bus and train station in the old town of Split walk in a west direction down the main promenade next to the water in front of the Deoklecian Palace. After walking down the main promenade for three minutes turn right (north) onto Marmontova Ulica, the shopping mall. Walk to the end of the mall past McDonalds until you reach the square and you will see the National Theatre to your left. Walk behind this building along Teutina Ulica and the building slightly to the right with an advertising billboard is Southern Star. It is landmarked with a blue sign with stars.
