Just a few minutes away from Chez Providence, visit the magnificent 4 Cathar Castles of Lastours, with it's 'Sonet Lumière' spectaculars; The Cascade de Cupservies (the longest drop waterfall in Europe), The Grotto de Limousis and The amazing underground safari of the Gouffre Geant de Cabrespine (a gorge inside a mountain deep enough to hold the Eiffel Tower), The medieval village of Hautpoul with its small ruined chateaux is one of the places where, according to legend, the treasure of Sion was temporarily hidden. and chateaux de Saissac with its panoramic views over the plains of Carcassonne and its picturesque village church, the last working paper mill at Brousse and at Revel a "must" to visit the market, not to mention – we are surrounded by Europes largest forests and the wonderful vineyards, great French restaurants and amazing scenery!

There are several beautiful mountain lakes close by where you can swim, sun bathe, walk or picnic, and the Mediterranean coast is just under 1¼ hours drive from Chez Providence.
Just 25 minutes drive is the magnificent Medieval City of Carcassonne a UNESCO world heritage site along with the Canal du Midi. Films and books such as 'The Labrynth', have been based on the area of Carcassonne and the Languedoc. The city offers restaurants, shopping, bars, and nightlife, along with pleasant walks and beautiful lakes and parks.
Return to Chez Providence at the end of the day, in its tranquil surroundings to relax and dine.
Accommodations
We offer B&B and evening meals (by reservation) in a traditional French village house whose foundations date back to a 15th Century châteaux fully modernised but retaining charm and character with exposed beams and vast old stone walls, our comfortable lounge has a huge fireplace and leads to a sunny balcony with a view of the valley, river and surrounding woods. The large sunny garden has sun loungers to relax on and a bbq are with tables and chairs.

Our tastfully decorated bedrooms all have seating areas with tea & coffee facilities.
La Suite Fleur de Lys (sleeps 1-5) has two rooms + en-suite bathroom.
La Chambre de la Rose (sleeps 1-3) with luxury en-suite shower room.
La Chambre Chinoisehas (sleeps 1-4) with en-suite shower room .
La Chambre Orchidee is a double bedroom (sleeps 1-2) with a shared luxury bathroom.
Cots and high chairs are available and we are open all year.

The city of Carcassonne offers restaurants, shopping, bars, and nightlife with mountain lakes for swimming and sun bathing. We have computer wifi. The village has good amenities which includes a friendly restaurant bar.

Services Offered
Evening meals are available by reservation and Christina and Nico offer regional and traditional French cuisine. The rooms are serviced daily and you are able to use the washing machine and iron subject to availability.

Sorry no smoking. We have a cat but small well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement.
