This hostel is located at the very heart of a 1000 year old village right by the Jialing River, a little distant out of business center but nice to get out of the big city to see real Chinese life, and very close to cultural center Shapingba-the Three Gorges Plaza. If you are going to Chongqing and want to see Ciqikou, this is the place to stay, awesome surrounding lanes chock full of everything you could want. Our room is overlooking the river and it is great sitting on the balcony having a beer. A little difficult to find, but once there it was difficult to leave. If you follow the detailed directions the hostel provided, it is easy to find. Call them if you are in trouble, the staff will try their best to help you out.


Chongqing, whose literal meaning is “double happiness,” is a port city with the largest municipal area and population in China. It is situated in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River at the confluence of the world-famous Yangtze and beautiful Jialing Rivers in southest China. Chongqing Perfect Time International Youth Hostel is located right beside the Jialing River, in 'millennium-old town' Ciqikou which is the only ancient town located in the downtown of Chongqing, in Shapingba District.

Ciqikou is one of the most beautiful and key places of interest in Chongqing. It can be conveniently reached from any train or bus station by bus. Bus No. 261 can directly take you to Jiefangbei (the People’s Liberation Monument), bus No. 503 to Chaotianmen, the dock and bus No. 202 to Chongqing North train station, respectively half an hour to reach.

The town located by the riverside of the Jialing River taking its name from porcelain (ciqi in Chinese), for this little town produced large quantities of porcelain products and also served as a trading and transfer port in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has witnessed the long time history of the Jialing River. There are many small shops selling local products and delicious treats lining the twelve lanes paved with their large well-preserved flag stones that form the main arteries of the Ciqikou district. At the end of Zheng Street, just go down stairs, you can find us on your left.

Most of our staff are enthuisiastic university students in Shapingba, the cultural district of Chongqing, who will go out of their way to make sure your visit is the best, it can possibly be. We are all lovers of travelling, so we can tell you what is really worthy visiting in Chongqing and further afield. What's more, we are very glad to recommend where we like going and what we like to eat.

In addition, we have a spacious, stylish bar in the first floor where you are free to get WIFI, read books, watch films, play pooltable or meet fellow travellers. Outside the bar there is a great balcony, you can sit there, facing the river, enjoying some cool beverages and the atmosphere of Ciqikou. We believe everyone who comes here will say our balcony is one of the best places to have a drink. Our bar also offers some local specialities and some simple western food to satisfy your appetite.

1. Public bus: take the airport shuttle to Shangqingsi(上清寺) and transfer to bus No. 261 to Ciqikou the front gate, 5 minutes' walk across Ciqikou Zheng Street to the riverside. 1.5hour trip, price: 18RMB.
2. Taxi: to the Ciqikou riverside bridge, 2 minutes' walk to No.2 Ciqikou Zheng Street. 30 minutes' trip, price: 65RMB, suggest not using the meter but bargaining instead.

Train station---Hostel
1. Chongqing North Train Station( Long Tou Si龙头寺－重庆火车北站):
(1) Public bus: No. 202 to Ciqikou (the front gate), 5 minutes' walk across Ciqikou Zheng Street to the riverside. 45 minutes’ trip, price: 3RMB.
(2) Taxi: to the Ciqikou riverside bridge, 2 minutes' walk to No.2 Ciqikou Street. 30 minutes' trip, price: 45RMB.

(1) Pubic bus : No. 503 to Ciqikou (the front gate), 5 minutes' walk to No.2 Ciqikou Zheng Street. 22 minutes' trip, price: 1.5RMB.

Public transportation: Ciqikou is one of the most beautiful and key places of interest in Chongqing. It can be conveniently reached from any train or bus station by bus. Bus No. 261 can directly take you to Jiefangbei (the People’s Liberation Monument), bus No. 503 to Chaotianmen dock, respectively half an hour to reach; and just five minutes to Three Gorges Plaza, one of the main district center.

PS: *If you arrive in Chongqing between 8:00am to 6:pm, we can arrange our worker to pick you up from the train or bus station, or you can take a taxi directly to Ciqikou;
When you arrive at the front gate to Ciqikou ancient town, at first go straightly into the ancient town, then turn right at the T letter crossroad. After about 5 minutes' walk, at the end of Zheng Street, just go down stairs, you can find our hostel on your left, a red archaistic building.
*If you take heavy baggage, you can call us to pick you up when you arrive at the front gate. Just stay there and wait for us.
