Kaissara Hostel Trindade

The Kaissara Hostel is located in the stunningly beautiful village of Trindade, just 25km south of Paraty (halfway between Rio and Sao Paulo). Trindade is still relatively unknown by most foreign backpackers but for those in the know it is one of the most pristine and unspoilt paradises on the Brazilian coast. Trindade is home to some of the most dazzling beaches in the entire country and has some of the state's best surf. The village is sandwiched between steep, rainforest covered mountains and the turquoise Atlantic Ocean. Anyone who appreciates nature and natural beauty will find it hard to be under-whelmed by the visual spectacle that Trindade offers. As well as great beaches and surf there are also the famous natural swimming pools and several waterfalls. It is the perfect place to come and chill out and enjoy nature.


The small hostel is surround by rainforest and has room for just 14 guests. It was designed specifically this way to create a more personal and family style atmosphere. The two mixed dorm rooms make up 10 of the beds available, one for 6 people and the other for 4 people. They each have an en suite bathroom with hot showers and individual lockers for guests to store their valuables. There are also 2 private rooms available for couples, both with en suite bathrooms.

The hostel's kitchen is clean, extremely well equipped and can be used at your leisure. Other amenities include, stereo, sky tv, dvd player, bbq and a laundry service. We can organise boat trips and surf lessons in the local area as well as boat trips around Paraty and tours to other waterfalls in the area

Directions

Buses to Trindade leave from the rodoviaria in Paraty every hour, on the hour, throughout the day. When you arrive in Trindade ask the driver to drop you at the bakery (padaria), from there take the road just before the bakery, heading to the right. Follow it up towards the forest and take the second right, just after the Pousada Dois Irmaoes and you will find the hostel a further 50m up this road on the right hand side. If you end up staying on the bus till its final stop don't worry, it's only 50m past the bakery so you just turn around and walk back down the main street before turning left at the bakery.
