If you are looking for a place to stay where you can enjoy the natural environment and be a part of Antiguan life, Ellen Bay Cottages offers you a unique little taste of Antigua.
We are set one minute’s walk away from the local jetty, in the picturesque fishing village of Seatons, located on the northeastern coast of Antigua.

Ellen Bay Cottages is a two storey building painted the colour of the surrounding sky and Atlantic Ocean. Our units are keenly priced to ensure that your vacation remains affordable, with the option of using our self-catering facilities. There are three apartments, consisting of a single studio which can be extended into a 2 bedroom apartment (perfect for the elderly or families with young children as the unit on the ground floor); and two 2 bedroom apartments on the upper floor. The interior is decorated in cool shades of yellow, peach and green


The studio apartment has its own patio with direct access to the outdoors, while the upper units have 2 patios; a back patio which overlooks the tropical garden, and a front, breezy gallery looking out to the beautiful, clear, blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean - a wonderful place to sit back, relax and take your morning coffee or afternoon drinks as the sun goes down.

The upper units are designed with a kitchen, living and dining area. All kitchens are fully equipped with cooking and eating utensils, stove, large refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Each apartment has air conditioning, cable television, telephone, hot and cold showers, hair dryer, and iron and ironing board. There is a laundry room available for your use, and a small internet area which also has wireless capability if you wish to use your own laptop.

For a large family/group, the two upper units can be converted to a 4 bedroom apartment, as the units, though separate, are interlocking and can therefore allow for free movement between rooms. There are also pullout/folding beds which can comfortably accommodate extra persons.

With the use of an 18ft Sea Pro speedboat, tours to the North Sound Islands, culminating on Bird Island, are also offered.

We are located right on the calm northeast Atlantic coast which is an excellent area for participating in various water sports activities such as water skiing, kayaking, knee boarding and viper riding.

Directions

Located within 20 minutes drive of the city of St. John's and the V.C Bird International Airport, access to the property is fairly simple and easy. After exiting the airport, just head left unto the Sir George Walter Highway (previously Airport Road) and then left unto the Sir Sydney Walter Highway (previously Factory Road). This road, keeping left at all time, takes you directly to Glanvilles Village. Taking a left at the St. Stephens Anglican Church, you soon arrive into Seatons Village, positioned right on the northeastern Atlantic coast. Signs along the way will make sure that you easily find your way. However, a part of our service includes complimentary airport transfers, so that we greet you at the airport and make sure that you also return safely.

The Seatons Area is close to the natural paradise of the North Sound which contains many islands surrounded by calm, turquoise waters, and plays home to many endangered species of birds and mammals. Situated between the water attractions of Stingray City on the left and Paddles Eco Kayak Tour on the right, guests can sit on the verandas and watch the flurry of activity of boats taking patrons to and from their sea adventures. As your hosts, we have a small boat and offer a complimentary tour of the islands of the North Sound, where you can go swimming, snorkeling, fishing, hiking or picnicking on one of the islands.

Seatons is also strategically placed closed to many historic sites. Gilbert Memorial Methodist Church, Devils Bridge, Betty’s Hope, Tamarind Tree, Potworks Reservoir, Nelsons Dockyard and Shirley’s Height are between 5 and 25 minutes away. The two closest beaches are Long Bay and Half Moon Bay. There is a small supermarket in the village which also hosts an outdoor bar/restaurant, and on weekends you can try out Auntie Ruth’s hamburgers and chicken and chips dishes, Clythies much sought after fish and johnnie cakes and Markey’s Jamaican jerk chicken. Otherwise, English Harbour, St. John’s and Jolly Harbour and only 20-30 minutes away.
