Day 1: You will be met at Cairo airport and transfer to your selected hotel. You will have the remainder of day at leisure.
Overnight Cairo.
Day 2: After breakfast, your tour in Egypt begins with a visit to the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Your Giza tour includes a short camel ride. You will continue on to visit the stepped pyramid of Dzoser at Saqqara, the oldest stone structure in the world. You will complete your tour with a visit to the former capital at Memphis.
Overnight train to Luxor.
Day 3: You will be met in Luxor and your tour begins with the West Bank including the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon you will visit the East Bank, including Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple.
Overnight train to Cairo.
Day 4: Arrival to Cairo, where you will visit the Egyptian Museum, Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosque and Khan El Khalili Market, the oldest market in Egypt
You will then be transferred to Cairo airport for your flight back home.

Day 1:

After breakfast, you will tour the temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. You will then sail to Edfu to visit the best preserved temple in Egypt dedicated to the god Horus.

East Bank tour: Karnak & Luxor Temples (1/2 Day) Karnak Temple is the largest temple complex in the world. Your guide will be happy to let you enjoy this tour at your own pace. It is also possible to visit the Luxor Museum with the same guide. $15 Per person

Karnak Light & Sound: The trip takes place in the evening and you have a choice of travelling to Karnak by taxi or caleche (a horse drawn carriage). The whole temple and grounds are bathed in light whilst listening to the story of the temple. $10 per person

The West Bank: Tour I: Visit the Valley of the Kings. Visit three tombs, Queen Hatshepsut's Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. On your tour you will be collected from your hotel or apartment by an air-conditioned mini bus and you have your own Egyptologist guide. You can take your time with your tour and enjoy the amazing historical sites. It is also possible to visit the tomb of King Tutankhamen on this visit. $30 per person

Dendara & Abydos (full day) Begin the day with a visit to Abydos. The paintings of the Gods and Pharaohs on the walls of the Osiris Temple at Abydos are among the most beautifully preserved in Egypt. Then continue to Dendara to visit the Temple of Hathor. $55 per person

Dendara Temple (1/2 Day) This temple is about 1 hour north of Luxor and this makes for a quieter visit. Your Air-conditioned minibus and a guide will collect you from your hotel or apartment. You then join the convoy to Dendara and make the journey north. This is a special temple surrounded by the desert it also has wonderful ceiling paintings. $35 per person

Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo, Aswan Dam & Philae Temple (1 Day) In your own private air-conditioned minibus you will travel out by convoy, and return by first class train at 6pm. Your guide will take you to visit Edfu then Kom Ombo temples. You will then visit the High Dam in Aswan and the Island Temple of Philae. You will then board your train and return to Luxor at 9:30pm. Your Egyptologist guide will stay with you the whole time. $80 per person

Abu Simbel, Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo, Aswan Dam & Philae Temple (2 Days) After collection from your hotel or apartment in your own private air-conditioned mini bus you will join the convoy out to Edfu and Kom Ombo temples. Then you visit Philae with an option to see the Unfinished Obelix. There is an overnight stay in a 3-star hotel before you journey by minibus to Abu Simbal. You return to Aswan and have a light lunch before the return by convoy to Luxor arriving back at 6pm $150 per person

Abu Simbel Travel in convoy from Aswan on A/C minibus to see the magnificent temples of Abu Simbel. Your guide will begin to explain the history of the site. As one of the few ancient Egyptian sites which largely escaped destruction and damage by past invaders of the country, the interior of both temples at Abu Simbel is astounding. The attraction of the temples is further enhanced by their scenic location on the edge of Lake Nasser. After visiting the temples there may be time for a short visit to the small visitor's center which documents the UNESCO relocation project, before returning to the minibus for the drive back to Aswan. The drive is approximately 3 hours each way. $60 per person

Hot Air Balloon Flight: at Dawn You will be collected from your hotel or apartment and cross the Nile by motorboat. There is a safety talk over a light breakfast of coffee & cake. You will fly from Queen Hatshepsut's temple over the West Bank. After the flight there is a small celebration and you are presented with a certificate of the flight and a T shirt. All transport and insurance is provided. We use the same balloon company as the leading UK travel agents in Luxor. $80 per person
