The 22-acre Treasure Island Resort is private, uninhabited, and about a 45-minute scenic boat ride southeast from the mainland of Vavau. This beautiful tropical island is situated right in the heart of the famous South Pacific, in Vava'u the magnificent island group of the Kingdom of Tonga. The island has beautiful sandy beaches fringed with swaying palms, pristine clear waters, lush tropical forest, rich bird life, amazing caves, cliffs, and bizarre rocks formed by the tide and surrounded by a large colorful coral garden. During the humpback whale season (July through November), the whales come very close to the island and guests can even swim with them. PLEASE NOTE: Customers will fly into the main International airport of Tonga, Nukualofa and will need to book domestic flight connections to Vavau. There is a three-acre tropical garden on site, which is bordered by a white-sand beach and overlooks the sparkling turquoise lagoon. The accommodation is comfortable and built in the unique thatched and authentic Tongan style. The beach is at your doorstep, swimming in pristine clear water only a few steps from your private verandah. The beach fales are suitable for double or twin accommodation and provide absolute privacy.
