Located on the mountain above Soufriere, this working cocoa and citrus plantation allows one to experience living and working in St. Lucia. Nestled on a lush mountain on the west coast, this guesthouse boasts one of the most spectacular views on the island. In fact, La Hauts vista has served as the backdrop to numerous photo shoots and postcards. Swim in the fresh water pool with spectacular views of the Pitons and Caribbean Sea or tour the plantation, feed the animals and learn about tropical fruits. Family-owned and managed, a relaxing place for nature-lovers where one can hike, bird-watch, play snooker, or an old piano. The restaurant has an excellent reputation as one of the best eateries in the area. Try the fish cakes, jerk pork, clam chowder soup, or fresh fish; all prepared using fresh local produce. It offers 13 rooms of which six are premium, four standard, 1oneself-contained cottage, and 1-2 bed unit. All rooms are bright and airy with king beds, ensuite bathrooms with shower, WC, and private balconies. They are fully equipped with ceiling fans, mosquito nets, fridge, electric kettle, toaster, safes, and ample closet space. La Haut rooms have no TV and no telephones.
