The Hotel Carignano, is located about two miles from the center of Lucca and three miles from the A11 highway exit; close to the city, but at the same time in the tranquility of the Tuscan countryside. Completely renovated June 2006, it is located near the main art cities like, Pisa, Firenze, Siena, San Gimignano, etc. One can relax after a long day in the spacious rooms, on the terrace or by the pool in the hotel's gardens and dine with some good Tuscan cuisine. The hotel has a large reception hall, a TV room, and a piano bar. A car park for over 70 cars is available. There is an Internet point and a Wi-fi connection is available for an extra charge. The pool and the 2.5-acre park with children playground are available. The park is large enough for jogging and outdoor exercises. The hotel offers a rich and complete breakfast, which includes ham, cheese, yogurt, preserved and fresh fruit, croissants, cakes, cookies, biscuits, cracottes and Swedish crisp bread, fresh bread, cereals, fruit juices, cappuccino as well as all hot drinks. Also butter, jam, honey, and Nutella area available. The two conference rooms from 50 to 70 seats and natural light are furnished with standard equipment. The Cantina di Carignano was an old mail station where horses and carriages stopped during their journeys along the dusty roads between Tuscan towns. For 4 generations, the same family has managed this restaurant and proposes typical dishes from the Lucca tradition such as the Farro soup, home-made Lucca ravioli, locally grown olives, lardo di Colonnata, the famous fiorentina beefsteak cooked over charcoal and the traditional Lucca vegetables pies con i becchi which are some of the specialties. The hotel has 26 spacious rooms, all air-conditioned, with showers or bathtubs, hairdryers, telephones, safes, minibars, and satellite TV. The 16 superior rooms are larger and can accommodate families of up to four people.
