Palacio de Doña Leonor is a 16th century mansion that was built and occupied by the daughter of the Spanish conqueror Don Pedro de Alvarado. Doña Leonor, the first mestiza born in Guatemala, was well known for her inner strength and resolve during a very tumultuous time in history. Once you step behind the heavy oak doors of the Palacio you will enter a time 500 years past and experience the splendor of Doña Leonorâs home.
