Hostel Pilau

PILAU hostel is located at the heart of the city centre, in close proximity to famous St.Petersburg place FIVES CORNERS. About 2 minutes walk from the Dostoevskaya/Vladimirskaya subway station and 5 minutes to the main city street Nevsky Prospekt.


We're surrounded by the museums, theaters, cinemas, cafeterias, pubs, bars, clubs, eating places, gardens and channels. Such tourist attractions as the Hermitage Museum, the Palace Square, the Kazan Cathedral, the Summer garden, the Russian museum, the Isaac’s Cathedral, the Yusupov Palace and others in a close walking distance through the Hostel. It’s easy reach us from the airport and railway stations. Moscow railway station just 15 minutes walk.


PILAU arrange for Your accomodation fully renovated comfortable rooms (hostel was full repaired in march 2008). You have a choice of 2-, 4-, 6-, 8-and 10- bed rooms. The total number of beds is 56. There are dedicated male and female rooms, however groups traveling together might be accommodated in one room at their request. New and modern WC/shower cabins on the floor, some rooms are fitted out with personal wc and shower cabin.


We do not provide breakfast, but you can use our self-service kitchen.

Also we make invitations (visa support) - 17.5 Euro per person. The invitation letter is sent after making a reservation (and pre-payment). You can pay for it on arrival.

According to the Russian legislation our hostel is required to register all foreign tourists who stay in PILAU. This service costs 4.5 Euro per person and can be paid on arrival.

Directions

GETTING FROM THE AIRPORT

By public transport take bus or mini-bus (“marshrytka”), or take a taxi, to Moscovskaya metro station.

Then take the METRO train to the Vladimirskaya / Dostoevskaya metro station and then WALK TO THE HOSTEL .




FROM THE RAILWAY STATION

About 15 minutes walk from Moscow Railway Station to the PILAU or take a train from the Ploshad Vosstanya/Mayakovskaya METRO station to Vladimirskaya/Dostoevskaya metro Then WALK TO THE HOSTEL .

Vitebskiy Train Station from the Pushkinskaya METRO station take a train to Vladimirskaya/Dostoevskaya metro. Then get to the WALK TO THE HOSTEL .


HOW TO FIND US: THERE'S A PLATE ABOVE THE DOOR WITH NUMBER '38' AND A PICTURE OF A SMALL HOUSE AND A SIGNS 'POLICE DEPARTMENT' . YOU SHOULD PRESS '12' AND THE BUTTON WITH 'BELL' ON THE DOOR, THAN GO UPSTEARS TO THE FIRST FLOOR AND THEN RANG THE DOORBELL ON THE DOOR WITH NUMBER '12'
