We are the most Centrally located hostel in San Francisco. From the airport, you can take the subway to Powell St. Station which is a little more than one block from our door. No need to get a cab.

We are the closest hostel to Powell St. Station, which is the Central hub of transportation for San Francisco. From here you can catch the Cable Cars, both Subways, Buses, and Street Cars.

We are next to three of the largest, finest hotels in the city including the 42-story Hilton which is the largest hotel in San Francisco. Save your money by staying with us.

We have done a full renovation in the rooms this year and work very hard to keep everything clean.

Directions

From SF airport:
Shuttles are available from the airport to the hostel. A cheaper alternative is to take the BART train (Bay Area Rapid Transit) from the airport. It takes 35 minutes and costs $5.35. BART trains leave the airport about every 15 minutes. For schedules, check www.bart.gov . Get off at the Powell St. station, which is downtown. It is the station after the Civic Center station and before the Montgomery St. station. You will come up the stairs to the street level from underground. Look for Cyril Magnin St., to the left of the Bank of America. Go uphill (north) on Cyril Magnin St. one block, and you will reach Ellis Street. Turn left (west) on Ellis St. Go along Ellis St. one block, and then cross Mason St. After crossing Mason St., you will immediately reach a Thai restaurant on the corner called Old Siam, which has a green, illuminated storefront. Just after Old Siam, there is a door with a white sign that says, 'HOSTEL.' The address is 225 Ellis St. and the door says 225. Press the buzzer by the door and we will unlock it. Please let us know in advance if you will be arriving after 11:00 P.M. (23:00).

From Transbay Terminal (Greyhound Station) (walking)
Catch the 38 Geary Bus outside the door of the bus station on Mission St. Take the 38 Geary bus to Geary and Taylor St, cross Geary St. and walk down Taylor to Ellis St. When you get to Ellis St. make a left and walk one block. We are on the right side number 225 Ellis St.

From Amtrak Station (walking)
Catch the F-Market train which runs along Market St. Get off at Powell and Market St. Walk up Powell to Ellis St. Make a left on Ellis and walk two blocks to Mason. We are on the corner of Ellis and Mason, above Old Siam Thai Restaurant.

From Caltrans Depo (walking)
Take the 30 or 45 bus to Stockton and Sutter St. Get off there, walk down Stockton to Ellis St, walk along Ellis to Mason. We are at the corner of Ellis and Mason above Old Siam Thai Restaurant, at 225 Ellis St. If you are on foot, just walk up 4th St.
