Our front desk is open for check ins from 4pm to 10pm with a night time curfew of 11:00pm. Quiet hours in the hostel are from 11pm to 8am, though you may utilize our common area as late as you like so long as you respect the quiet hours of other guests sleeping. Our front desk opens for check outs from 7am to 10am, with extended hours on the weekends. There is a day time lock out between 10am and 4pm, no lock out on Fridays and Saturdays starting.

We have a full guest use kitchen, large common and dining area with a stone fireplace and plenty of free books for reading, and an outdoor deck and front porch for relaxing outside. We also offer space for camping and have a fire pit that campers and hostellers can use. For campers we have a port a potty and potable water available on teh outside of the building. We also have grills for cooking outdoors and lots of games such as Frisbee and volleyball.
Directions
Both Amtrak and the MARC have a regular train service to and from Union Station in Washington, DC. Greyhound Bus stops in Frederick, Maryland.
To get here from Harpers Ferry National Historic Park, take Route 340 East for about 4 miles (the distance by road is less direct and twice as long as the walking distance). This will take you across the Shenandoah River into Virginia and then across the Potomac River into Maryland. Turn right at the first Maryland exit, which is the 'Keep Tryst Road' exit. Then take the next right onto Sandy Hook Road, and the hostel is the first house on the left.

To get here from Frederick, Maryland take Route 340 West for about 17 miles. Turn left at the last Maryland exit, before crossing the Potomac River into Virginia. That will be the 'Keep Tryst Road' exit. Take the next right onto Sandy Hook Road, and the hostel is the first house on the left.
To get from Washington D.C. to Frederick take Route 270 North for 50 miles. To get from Baltimore to Frederick, take Route 70 West for 50 miles. To get from Harrisburg or Gettysburg to Frederick, take Route 15 South.
