The house represents one of the first farm houses in Greenpoint, dating back to early 1889, equipped with the latest of modern interior, set in a beautifully landscaped garden with a sparkling pool and a Teak wood sundeck, where you’ll enjoy your rich english breakfast in the morning. It is gently attached to the lower slopes of Signal Hill, overlooking the Bay, Blouwberg Strand, Robben Island and the VA Waterfront and only minutes away from the cities major attractions.


Our idea to “relaunche” and converte this victorian jewel from early 1900, in one of Cape Towns most thought after positions, into a luxurious meeting point for friends from around the world, came with a blink of an eye. The complete restoration in 2007 was taking us several month and carried out with the greatest care to details. Influences of old and new, local and global, come together in playful harmony.

Our perfectly appointed rooms are offered in Classic or Superior. The interior is inspired by the new generation of young south african designers. Light and characterised by innumerable details, as well as oversized beds, innovative bathrooms, state of the art self controled cooling & heating system, LCD Flatscreen TV’s & DVD’s and a fully loaded minibar including south african wines and champagne. Our complimentary wireless lan internet connection does not only cater our friends on business, but may be enjoyed by everyone. Directions

By car:

Travel into Cape Town city centre on either the N2 (ex Cape Town International Airport) or N1 (ex Paarl or Stellenbosch) national roads. Pass the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) on your left-hand side, arriving at the first large traffic light intersection with Coen Steytler Avenue. Continue over this intersection until the second traffic light intersection with Hans Strydom Avenue. You will now be driving along Buitengracht Street. At the next set of traffic lights (i.e. 3rd set) you will turn right into Somerset Road. Continue along Somerset Road through three sets of traffic lights, for about 900 metres. Turn left into Vesperdene Road, follow the street for about 200 metres and you will see the luxurious Cape Diem Lodge on your left handside (No 11). Pull up right in front of the entrance and press the intercom to announce your arrival. From this moment on and after a warm welcome, your holiday is about to begin – leave everything else up to the Cape Diem Lodge Team.

From our Lodge, you'll reach public transportation and taxis within a few steps down our quite street. City Tours are leaving at the V&A Waterfront, which is less than 900 metres away. To reach the nearest interstate, you will only travel less than 1.5 miles, as well as the main train station can be reached within the same distance. Our Lodge is centrally located to all major attractions and connections.
