Welcome to Balintraid House, a beautiful 19th century mansion near Invergordon.

PLEASE NOTE: We are located 25 miles (ca 38km) north of the city of Inverness.

Bright spacious rooms, some with sea views, situated in extensive grounds. Peaceful oasis on the shores of the Cromarty Firth.

A warm welcome awaits you in this fabulous spot in the Scottish Highlands. Explore the breathtaking scenery of the area, discover the ancient Picts or have fun in the local distilleries.
For a small surcharge, basic breakfast is available on request with our own free range eggs - and you get to make it yourself...:) PLEASE BOOK IN ADVANCE.

Directions

From Inverness (25m; 38km) and South by car (ca 30mins):
Follow the A9 North until you reach the second set of signs for Invergordon / Invergordon Ind Estate, (Tomich Cafe on your Left).

Take a Right. After half mile take a Left and follow until you reach a T-junction with the sea in front of you. Turn left and follow for approx 1.5 miles past the village of Saltburn.
You will see a big cluster of established trees on the Left. There is a sign 'dangerous bend' and 'Balintraid' and two drives up to the house - one just before and one just after that sign.

From the North by car:
Make a Right turn from the A9 at the Kildary junction by the local Peugeot dealer 'Kens Garage'.
From here follow the shore road signposted to Invergordon
Around 2 miles after the village of Barbaraville, the drive for Balintraid House is the second one on the Right surrounded by established trees.

Bus 25 and 25x from Inverness will drop you in Invergordon or at the bottom of the drive. Journey time 45 - 75 mins.
