La Casa De Los Pinguinos

The 3 star hostal La Casa de los Pingüinos opened its doors in October 2007. The Dutch/Peruvian owners offer a variety of facilities to make sure your stay will be enjoyable.

The hostal is a three story building in a safe area within walking distance of the Plaza de Armas. The rooms contain comfortable beds with high quality matresses and duvets.

All nine rooms have cable TV, wireless internet and private bathroom with 24hours hot water. The ground floor contains a bar and lounge to relax and on the second floor there is a living room area where you can watch DVD’s of your choice or use our book exchange. There are also some games. The hostal is nicely decorated (but not overdone) with pictures of penguins.


You will also find a selection of enlarged photos from Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile and Mexico.

Although the hostal is situated in the centre of town there is a spacious garden to enjoy.

There is a free secure garage for cars, motorbikes or bicycles.

Directions

The hostal is situated right in the centre of Arequipa, only 5 minutes away from the busterminal and 15 minutes from the airport.

We will be pleased to pick you up from the bus station free of charge. But we can only do this between 07:30 and 22.00. If you arrive between these hours you need to let us know beforehand where you depart from, what bus company and time of departure. So we know at what bus station you will arrive and at what time. Upon arrival in Arequipa give us a call at 223851 and within 10 minutes we will be there. Alternatively you can also choose for the below and just take a taxi from the bus station and we will pay.

The hours between 22.00 and 07:30 we offer to pay your taxi from the bus station. We will either pay upon your arrival at the hostal or discount it from your bill. Please make sure you take a taxi from within the bus station. They are more safe!!!
During the day it is no more than 4 soles.

Should you arrive by plane a taxi is around 15 soles from the airport to the hostal and this is for your own cost.
