Directions

Being situated at the crossroads of the North Island has a lot of advantages. Stick to State Highway 1 whether coming from the North or South.
Once in Taupo get onto the main road running around the town - either Tongariro St or Lake Road (along the lake front). Base Taupo is more or less on the corner of the two taking the corner building of Tongariro St and Tuwharetoa St.
