J-hoppers Osaka Central

=General Information=
We are a backpacker hostel in Osaka central area. We have other hostels in Hiroshima, Kyoto and Takayama.
It's only 15 minute walk from Osaka main train station. It takes only 30 min to 1 hour to the main tourist sights in Kansai area such as Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, and Himeji by train.
Note: It takes about 2 hours to 2 hours a half to Koyasan.

We are located in a very convenient shopping street where there is a lot of restaurants, bars, various shops. It is very quiet around the hostel as it doesn't face a large street.

=Guest rooms and Common area=
Air-conditioner and Internet connections are installed in each room. We have a mixed dorm, a female dorm, twin rooms, triple rooms and double room.


A shower rooms with a soap and shampoo are shared and can be used for 24 hours. A toilet is on each floor.
Self-catering kitchen with tableware, cooking utensils and various kind of seasoning is available in the kitchen space.
In Living room, you can watch some English channels, enjoy some sorts of games.
We also have a nice patio where you can sit and smoke. The rooftop terrace is a perfect place to have beers with your travel fellows.
We are very sorry but we don't have an elevator.

=Times=
-The reception is open 8:00-11:00 and 15:00-22:00. Check-in time is in between 15:00 and 22:00.

-You can check in after 22:00, but please let us know in advance around what time you will be arriving. We let you know how to enter the hostel.

-You can arrive earlier and leave luggage in between 8:00-15:00.

Once you check in, there is no curfew and no lockout time.
Check out time is 11am and you can leave your luggage even after checking out.

=Funs=
-One of our staff Fumi teach you how to make Origami.
If you want, please also ask her how to make Okonomiyaki or Takoyaki.
-We decolate Kimono, and sell some. You can anytime try it on and take a picture for your memory!!
-We also decolate some wigs of Samurai and Geisha. You can disguise yourself and take a picture!
-We sell Sushi eraser and Post cards

=Internet Access=
Optical-fiber Internet access is free from every private room. We lend you an Ethernet cable. Wifi is also available for free in the lobby, guest room and the common room. If you don't have a laptop with you, you can use one of the hostel computers any time for 100 yen per 30 minutes.

=Location=
It's just 3 minute walk from Fukushima station (1 stop from Osaka station on JR Loopline), 15 minute walk from Osaka station.

=Neibourhood=
Lots of Izakaya and Bars with many kinds of local foods such as Okonomiyaki, takoyaki or Sushi
-Central Osaka: 15 minute walk
-Post office: 3 minute walk
-Supermarket: 3 minute walk
-Convenient store 'Seven Eleven' with International ATM: 30 second walk

=Attractions=
-10 min walking to Sky Building
*Floating observatory deck with a great night view
-15 min walking to Umeda Downtown area with lots of shopping stores and departments stores.
-20 min walk to Ferris wheel in Umeda
-15 min to Kaiyukan Aquarium by train
-10 min to Universal Studios Japan by train
-30 min to Namba by train, which is another big downtown area
*Waking distance to Shinsaibashi or Dotonbori from here.
-12 min to Osaka Castle by train
-30 min to Kobe by train
-60 min to Himeji Castle from Osaka station by train
-50 min to Nara by train
-2hours and half to Koyasan by train

=Staffs=
All staffs can speak English and are looking forwad to talking to you with friendly smile.
We also try to be up to date on what is happening in the area and can give you advice where to go. We are a meeting point for travelers from all over the world!

=Payment and Rules=
-Please make your payment on you arrival in cash or by credit card Key deposit: 1000 yen in cash (refunded at checkout).

-Cancellation Policy: If you wish to cancel or change your reservation, we will require advance notice two days before the date of your arrival otherwise you will be charged the cancellation fee of one night's stay.

-Smoking free in the building (Except Rooftop terrace and Smoking space on 1F ).

Directions

From Shin Osaka station

* Take JR bound for Himeji, Kakogawa or NishiAkashi etc. and get off JR Osaka Sta.
* Take JR Loop line (Uchimawari line), and get off JR Fukushima Sta.


From Kansai Airport ( take Kansai Airport Rapit Service 'Kanku Kaisoku' )

* Get off Tennoji or Nishikujo, and change train into JR Loop line(Sotomawari line)
* Get off JR Fukushima station


From Kansai Airport ( take Kansai Airport Limited Express 'Haruka' )

* Get off Tennoji, and change train into JR Loop line(Sotomawari line)
* Get off JR Fukushima station

Please take care that 'Haruka' DOES NOT stop at JR Osaka station.

From JR Osaka station ( 15-minutes walk from Sakurabashi Gate )

* Get out of Sakurabashi Gate
* Make right, and get accross crossing with signal
* Pass through the shopping mall 'Umesankoji'
* Go straight toward west along the railway
* After passing under the highway, you will see JR Fukushima station shortly

From JR Fukushima station ( 3-minutes walk )
* Exit Fukushima station and turn left on the colored narrow street before Mister Donuts.
* Continue along on the street for a couple of minutes.
You will see J-Hoppers on your left. (2 shops before Seven Eleven)
