Castel D'arno

In the middle of the beautiful Umbrian valleys and hills, and with an outstanding panoramic view, between Perugia and Assisi, Castel d’Arno is a completely restored burgh of the 13th century. We have 5 apartments and holiday homes with private bathroom. Our country-house is surrounded by an incredible rose and olives, inside of which there is a new and panoramic swimming pool.

The country house is located in a strategic position near many cities of particular tourist interest (Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Spoleto, Todi, Spello, etc). Moreover we are to little steps from the S. Egidio Airport, that become recently port of call of international lines low cost (Ryanair, etc).

Today the country house, after the restoration jobs, has 5 characteristic apartments much comfortable, all with sight on the splendid view of umbrian valleys. Our country house is divided in 5 nicely decorated and comfortable apartments, with equipped kitchenette and private bathrooms, linen and heating. Wide parking inside the enclosure.
For our hosts we put a local use on laundry (with 2 washing-machines, free use).


For all those who is wanted to make pizza, is possible also to use a magnificent firewood furnace situated in our characteristic courtyard; there is also a big BBQ in the garden.

And moreover it’s possible to have use of the wide garden and the swimming pool for pleasant moments of relax.
Near Castel d’Arno there are two restaurants where it’s possible to have supper with moderate prices and to be able to taste the typical Umbrian kitchen.

Our it is the ideal stay place for who privileges the human contact in a friendly, relaxant and pleasant atmosphere.
Beyond to the familiar hospitality, you will find also and precious councils optimal in order to render your stay pleasant and interesting.

Castel d’Arno is located just 12km from the historic center of Assisi and 13km from that of Perugia. S. Egidio Airport 12 km.
A few minutes by car will take you to the most important art centers of Umbria:

- Gubbio 30km
- Spello 20km
- Spoleto 35km
- Todi 35km
- and only 25km from Trasimeno Lake.

and then: Siena 90 km, Florence 150 km.


Our 5 apartments are so named:

IL CUCINONE with 2-4 beds. Located on the first floor of our country house, it is a wide room of mq 50 and high ceiling with characteristic garret and a romantic balcony that points out on the garden and a fantastic view. It consists of a double-bed, a garret with two single-beds, private bathroom, equipped kitchenette.

GLI ULIVI with 4 beds. Located on the first floor of our country house, it offers a beautiful view of the wide garden of olives trees and roses, where the swimming pool of recent realization is placed. It is a characteristic apartment of mq. 50 and consists of a double-bed, a room with 2 single-beds, private bathroom, equipped kitchenette.

L'ORTO with 2-3 beds. Located on the ground-floor of our country house, with independent entrance, it faces the garden with olives trees and has a private small courtyard. It’s an apartment of mq 40 and consists of a wide double-room with also a single bed, private bathroom, living-room with equipped kitchenette.

IL CORTILE with 4-6 beds. Located on the first floor of our country house, it faces the characteristic courtyard with panoramic view. It’s an apartment of mq 65 and consists of two double-rooms, private bathroom, living-room with equipped kitchenette.
and then the suite IL SUBASIO with 6-11 beds. Located on the second floor of our country house, this apartment is approximately 170 mq in size and consists of a large double-room, another double-room, a large room with 6 single beds, a garret with divan double-bed, 2 characteristic bathrooms (of which one with a large bathtub), a living-room with TV and DVD, a large kitchen with fireside and dishwasher.

If you use the heat the cost is:
For the apartment for 11 persons: 3 euro per Hour
For the apartment for 6 persons: 1.50 euro per Hour
For the other apartments: 1 Euro per Hour.

Directions

Coming from the north on the A1 highway: Take the Bettole Val di Chiana exit. Follow state highway E75 until you reach Perugia, continue towards Cesena and take the exit to Valfabbrica.
After about 6km, turn towards Pianello and follow the signs to Castel d’Arno.
Coming from the south on the A1 highway: Take the Orte exit in the direction of Terni. After about 21km, take the turnoff towards Perugia/Cesena. After 80 km. in the direction of Cesena, take the exit to Valfabbrica and after about 6km, turn towards Pianello and follow the signs to Castel d’Arno.
