The choice of names was not difficult. 'Fico d'India' or the prickly pear cactus is a plant that characterizes the Amalfi Coast and most all of Furore.

The Bed and Breakfast Holidays Fico D'India is open all year long, situated in a strategic location and is only about 10 minutes away by car from the Amalfi centre and is also well connected by local buses.


Our premises are steeped in lemon and olive groves with numerous prickly pear bushes and with ample open space. The following places of interest are easily reachable: Amalfi, Capri, Positano, Praiano, Maiori, Minori and many others.

Our six rooms, named after the coastline's pleasant flowers, are spacious, tastefuly decorated - all with a private bath, TV, air conditioning, fridge bar, hair dryer and high quality linen. Our spotlessly clean rooms are serviced every day. All of the rooms have a fantastic sea-view. Our special suite has a private jacuzzi.

We offer ample external parking on the premises, a luxury in Amalfi coast. Our complementary breakfast is always rich, delicious and genuine, served with care and refined service. Our restaurant, in our lemon garden, offers cuisine that is authentic Italian - typical of the coastal region. You can enjoy our complimentary brushettas and bread with all meals.

Directions

By Car:

From the highway A3 Napoli- Salerno take the exit Castellamare di Stabia.
Take the direction Pimonte, Agerola, Furore.
Follow the indication for Amalfi.



By Bus (or train):



From Amalfi Centro:

Take the SITA bus headed for “Agerola” and get off at the “Fico D India” stop or the “Furore” stop. You will see our sign board easily from the road. There are SITA buses running for Agerola from 7:50AM to 23:00PM each day at approximate one hour intervals. The bus ride from the Amalfi center to Furore takes about 10 minutes.





From Salerno by Bus:



Take the SITA bus from just outside the Salerno train station headed for “Amalfi”. There are buses that run at approximately one hour intervals from 6AM to 10:30PM. Get off at the last stop (Amalfi centro or Amalfi Terminal) and then follow directions as above. The scenic bus ride from Salerno to Amalfi takes about one hour.



SITA bus tickets are available at the tourist office just outside the station and the travel agency just opposite the station. Look for SITA bus office there. Tickets for SITA bus cost 6 euros for 24 hour validity. Same ticket is valid for travel from and within Salerno, Positano, Amalfi etc.





From Salerno, Sorrento, Capri, Positano by Boat:



Alternatively instead of the bus, you can take a boat to arrive to Amalfi Center from any of these locations. There are many boats from all these locations to Amalfi. The boat drop off point is very close to the SITA bus terminal in Amalfi. Once you are at the Amalfi Centro, you can take a bus to Furore by following directions above.




From Rome, Milan,F lorence, other cities by Train:

There are frequent trains to Salerno. Take any train and get off at Salerno station. From there, follow intructions as above to get to Amalfi by bus or train.

If for any reason, you face any issues, please do not hesitate to call us and we will come to the Amalfi centre to pick you up.
