The Green Lizard

Situated in a nice and quiet area, only 3 min walk to the beach and 5-10 min walk to the centre of Hvar town.

We offer clean accommodation in modern dorm rooms with fewer beds. Private double rooms with own shower are also available, some with amazing sea views!

The atmosphere at the Green Lizard is social and relaxed. The terrace with the view of the bay and islands is our main communal area, where you can chill out and enjoy beautiful sunset on the sea.

The hostel now has a brand new outdoor kitchen, which makes cooking even more fun.

The Lizard is run by two sisters (not the religious kind...lol) who will provide you with maps and travel information and direct you to the best beaches, bars and restaurants.

Directions

From the ferry:
As you get off the ferry at the main Hvar town ferry port, turn right and walk a little bit along the coast, then take the first stairs. On top of the stairs turn right, walk for about 3-4 minutes, and as you pass the school (NARODNA SKOLA written on the building), follow the path on your left, going upwards. Take the second foot path to your right until you reach the car road. Turn right and across the street you will see the Green Lizard.

From the bus station:
Walk into the narrow, stone paved street next to the Pizzeria ALVIZ. At the end turn right and walk uphill, passing a block of flats. Turn right and follow the main street going slightly downwards. PLEASE NOTE: Once you are on the main road, DO NOT go uphill any more! You will find the hostel after 150 m on your left.
