We´re not the typical hostel,this is more a place where volunteers , backpackers,campers,newcomers to Costa Rica and tourists meet and hang out together.
( Like a bunch of travelers sharing a big house )
Alajuela Campground and hostel is located just outside of Alajuela,less then 10 min. from the airport.
Our hostel offers clean bunk beds for low prices year round! We are close to downtown Alajuela but only a 5 min bus ride away from the street noise in a nice tranquile area of Alajuela.

All guests have 24 hour access to our fullsize kitchen and we offer laundry service too. We have 5 bathrooms with hot showers,so no waiting in the morning. Also we offer a large common room with cable TV,a PC ,free Wifi in all the rooms and a sound system,just bring your Ipod!
Breakfast can be included for an additional $ 2 Dollars.

Relaxed atmosphere,all ages welcome.
ACG offers free use of its own soccer field (20 m x 40m with 2 goals (2x5m)). There are pick up games every Sunday morning,please join us even if you don´t stay with us.

We are also offering Spanish lessons and free volunteer opportunities for various projects in Alajuela and Heredia.

Directions

HOW TO GET HERE BY CAR: Coming from the Airport or San Jose take the freeway to Alajuela,then keep on going straight all the way through Alajuela,on the right hand side you will see the central park,keep going for another kilometer.Then on the right hand side you will see the court house( La Corte ),go another 300 meter straight ahead ,then take a left at the first Y intersection and a right at the next Y intersection.Follow the signs from Alajuela Centro to Hotel Pura Vida,we are located right next to Quinta San Angel app.200 m before Pura Vida.( On the right hand side.)
HOW TO GET HERE BY BUS: take the bus from Alajuela terminal to Tuetal,get off at Quinta San Angel.Bus fare is $ 0.20 Taxi is less then $ 2 from downtown Alajuela. Just 10 minutes from the international Airport. Instructions for taxi driver. Tuetal, 1 km norte de la corte, al costado sur de Quinta San Angel, follow signs to Hotel Pura Vida. Call us if you get lost. Sometimes taxi drivers will tell you that we are full, don´t believe them! GPS COORDINATES: N 10 01 1748 W 084 13.443
