Gina's Garden Lodges

Gina's Garden Lodges is on the main island, and is about 5 minutes walk from the Tautu landing, on the Eastern shores of Aitutaki lagoon.

Our tropical garden location gives our guests the very best of what Aitutaki Island has to offer - at very good value for money prices. Gina's appeals to all kinds of travellers, who appreciate the genuine Polynesian friendliness and charm we offer in a lovely environment, with comfortable accommodation.

Guests get a very good standard of private totally self-contained serviced accommodation in a flower filled tropical garden setting with a swimming pool. This location is very private and peaceful.

We have a special to encourage longer stays, where if you book for 7 nights, you pay for only 6 nights, getting one night's accomodation at the Garden Lodges free.


This is an option well worth considering. We get many guests who after seeing what Aitutaki island can offer, wish that they had spent longer here, and less time in Rarotonga. Aitutaki is not as developed commercially, and retains more old world South Sea Islands charm.

Guests are very comfortably accomodated. My Lodges are spacious, completely self-contained, with full self-catering facilities, fans, hot water, refrigerator, and television.(There is one local T.V Channel from 6 p.m onwards each evening). There is a large bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity. Lodges are serviced daily. We are a Cook Islands Tourism Corporation accredited self-catering accomodation establishment, which guarantees a high standard of accomodation.

Each Lodge has full cooking facilities, with a small electric stove with oven and grill, electric frying pan, electric toaster, electric jug , pots, pans and all cooking utensils plus cups saucers, plates and cutlery , and a good sized refrigerator. There is constant solar powered hot water.In a word, the convenience and facilities of home at value for money rates.

Each Lodge is very well furnished for comfortable and relaxed living. The beds are superior, and comprise one double bed and single bed downstairs, with two single beds in a mezzanine loft accessed by a staircase. There is a large covered verandah overlooking the garden.

The four Lodges are located in secluded grounds - one and a half acres of flowers, plants and trees, near Tautu Village on the Eastern side of Aitutaki Island. They are fully screened against insects.

We have an 11.5 metre by 4.5 metre swimming pool in the grounds complete with large wooden sundecks for sunbathing. This pool and decks are tastefully fenced according to New Zealand standards. The fence and gate are childproof.

Gina's is a ten minute walk to the Tautu Landing, where you can swim, picnic, or just relax. Tautu Village and two small shops are within a five minute walk. A ten minute drive takes you to the centre of Arutanga, the Post Office, harbour, fishing club and market place.

Rates are as follows - in New Zealand Dollars:

Double/Twin: $120 per night for two people.
Single: $75 per night single
Extra Persons : $30 per adult per night
Children up to 15 years incl: $20 per night

We also have a special rate for longer stays - book for 7 days but pay for only 6 days.

Payment is due on your arrival, and I accept Cash in $US and Sterling, Travellers cheques in $US or sterling - or credit cards (Visa, Bankcard or Mastercard)
Airport Transfers are $N.Z16 total inwards/outwards per person.

Directions

Arrivals at Aitutaki airport are met and transferred to the Garden Lodges near Tautu village. There are no public buses on Aitutaki. There is a taxi - the drivers know where we are. Just ask for Gina's Garden Lodges - or Queen Manarangi
