Hostal Campobello - Popayán

Popayán is a charming town, nestling in a serene valley at the foot of volcano Puracé. It is on of Colombia's most beautiful colonial town with a rich cultural heritage.
The historic, etnographic and archeological triangle of the country is Popayán-Tierradentro and San Agustin. With midle weather, Popayan is a tranquil and reasonable priced city.

The place where our B&B is located was named CAMPOBELLO by Guillermo Valencia, a poet of the region. Nature, the sunset, the view of the mountains, the different kinds of green countryside and the quiet atmosphere in this place, as he described, are amazing.

We are in a very comfortable colonial- style house with beautiful gardens where you can see multicolored butterflies and different kinds of birds like hummingbirds, robins, aerwings, sparrows, 'azulejos'...they sing to wake you up in the morning or you can see them from our hammocks.
From the terrace you can see the volcanoes and the mountains as well as the city.

Each room has a bathroom and the fireplace in the sitting room creates a quiet, friendly and cozy atmosphere. We aim to provide beauty, comfort, and peace...and the delicious meals cook by Maricel are not be missed!!

The house was built in the New Granada Architectural style.
We speak English, French, Italian, Spanish.

B&B CAMPOBELLO is in the north of the city.
in the Campobello district (entrance on the Panamerican, in front of the Torremolinos restaurant ,walk 250mts)
in the Popayan's entry, coming from Cali at 5 minutes from 'Terminal de Buses' and the airport and historical downtown.
