La Casa Amarilla

La Casa Amarilla guesthouse is located in Mompos, the beautiful UNESCO recognised colonial village on the Caribbean coast. La Casa Amarilla is found overlooking the River Magadalena on La Albarrada.

La Casa Amarilla offers both dorm rooms and private rooms all equipped with ensuite bathrooms and fans.

Mompos is only 4 hours from Cartagena and is a peaceful place to relax and forget time in this Macondian wonderland.

In addition to rooms we have a wonderful garden, hammocks, fully equipped kitchen for your use, book exchange, TV DVD room, good info on Colombia, bicycles for rent and an economic laundry service.

How to get in:
If you are arriving from the Caribbean coast (Cartagena, Barranquilla and Santa Marta) and you cannot secure a seat on the Unitransco direct bus to Mompos, then catch the Brasilia or Unitransco to Magangue. In Maguangue you can easily find space on any chalupa (motorised canoe) to Bodega and then a taxi to Mompos.

From Medellin catch any bus to Magangue and then make the connections

From Bogota, San Gil and Bucaramanga catch the Copetrans service to El Banco Magdalena and then a 4x4 from there.
