Pousada Tulipane

Pousada Tulipane is a small-scale guesthouse- or Bed and Breakfast style accommodation in Florianópolis. It is located on the subtropical island 'Ilha the Santa Catarina', along the coast of South Brazil.
It is a small property with a family atmosphere, a real home away from home. The Pousada has three double rooms (suites) each with its own balcony, a luxurious bathroom, box spring beds, ceiling fan, mosquito screens and a large wardrobe. The double rooms are serviced daily and are provided with linen and towels. A typical Brazilian breakfast is included.

The Pousada includes a luxurous two room apartment with a living, bed room, a luxurious bathroom, kitchen available,and two private balconies overseeing the garden and pool. Extra beds can be included in the living room. The apartment is serviced twice a week as are provided linen and towels. Breakfast is included in the price.


Commun areas include a large living room with several sofas, where you can relax after a tiring day, a beautiful subtropical garden with a swimming pool, a quiet open area by the swimming pool for reading or relaxing and a small library with books and DVD´s. Internet access through wireless network. Bicycles and beach equipment are available for guests.

The host Paul is a Dutchman living in Floripa since 2003. He knows the island and neighbourhood very well and can guide you to discover the surroundings. He speaks Portuguese, English, Dutch, and some German.

Directions

Bus
Tulipane can be reached by bus from downtown and the rodoviaria through the terminal Rio Tavares and taking the bus to Campeche stopping at bus stop 32 at Avenida Campeche. You enter Servidão Zeferino João Bregue and it is the final house in this road.

Airport
From the airport you best reach Tulipane by taxi. You ask the driver to go to Avenida Campeche and enter at bus stop 32 Servidão Zeferino João Bregue and it is the final house in this road. Or you can ask the Pousada to pick you up for the same prize.

Car
By car you can reach Tulipane in the following manner. At the bridge entering the island you follow the direction of the South – Sul (Campeche). You continue the South express highway till the end. At the stop lights, you turn right, follow the first road to the left, and then the first road to the right. At the next junction, you go to the right (direction Campeche). At the first junction you turn to the left, you enter Campeche and are at Avenida Pequeno Principe. Almost at the end of this road, you see a big school building at the left, upon which you turn to the left on an asphalt road. You are now at Avenida Campeche. At the bus stop 32 (left side) you turn to the left. This is a dirt road with the name Servidão Zeferino João Bregue. Tulipane is the final house on this road.
