The icing on the cake is the view of the pyramids from the terrace...we had to pinch ourselves each time we looked out at them! Catherine was so lovely, giving us endless help and advice and putting us in touch with her friends to drive us and provide tours. Nothing was too much trouble and we can't wait to return to see them again soon.

Having travelled extensively to all corners of the world, I fail to recall when we have been made so welcome. The views of the sound and light show are stunning, it is so close you can hear the spoken words, it's closer than it appears in the photos. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, the local people very friendly, literally 10 minutes walk from the pyramids, a superb local bakers just around the corner. Cairo "central" is very easy to access and an adventure too. I really can't fault this whole experience, Catherine gives almost immediate responses to emails and is extremely accommodating in any way she can be. It had all the luxury you would expect from a hotel. It was equipped with comfortable beds, microwave, SAT TV, dvd-player, cd-player, jacuzzi, shower, everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Above all that, you 'll be amazed by the wonderful view from your own private roof terrace. There is nothing more beautiful, having breakfast in the open air,watching the pyramids and staring in the face of the sfinx. Catherine Farnsworth lives in the appartment above you and will help you with anything you need to know. She can also arrange tours, such as visiting Memphis and Sakkara, Nilecruises and so on. Be ready for an experience you will always remember!!!

Description of Surrounding Area

Village Setting near to the desert and one of "The seven Wonders of the World" The Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. The apartment is situated in a quiet street, visit the many bazzares, supermarkets, restaurants and historic sites all within walking distance of the apartment. Horse & Camel riding can be readily available. Cairo is within easy reach by taxi or metro where you can visit the museum and many other historic monuments. There are hotels in the area who allow day use of their sun terraces and swimming pools. For children you will find Dreamland Amusement Park at 6th Ocotber City or visit the Pharaonic Village this is like going back in time to the Pharaonic Era.

This AC apartment sleeps 6 is spacious with modern furnishings, it is tastefully decorated and very well equipped, like home from home. There is a fully fitted kitchen/diner with table & seating for 6 . The apartment is situated inside a gated community and it is on the 3rd floor, the apartment benefits from a private furnished roof terrace for guests renting the apartment. The view from the Roof is spectacular, watch the sound & light show over the Pyramids or chill out on the sunloungers on those long sunny days..
