Hang Gliding Adventure

Active Adventure

You will be flying hang gliders. It is the closest to the feeling of flying in your dreams that humans can attain. You are a bird.
Almost anyone who has the desire to fly can learn to fly.
We have big wheels on our state-of-the-art training gliders.

Typical Day

You will start your hang gliding adventure on flat ground, with an instructor running along beside you 'flying' the glider via the side wire, while you get used to getting your feet a foot off of the ground. After several 'ground runs' you will be starting to learn to steer the glider without the help of the instructor. The instructor will be next to you as far as 5 feet into the air. When you have the ability to steer the glider yourself, you will progress up the hill. Most students average 10 feet in the air the first day.
Some folks make it to the top of our 200 foot hill in the first day.

You will progress as fast as safely possible, but we will be sure that you have the skills required to fly safely higher up the hill before we go higher.

Age range, type of group

Students under 18 years of age must have a guardians signature on the release form. Singles and/or groups are all welcome. There is no age limit.

Sleeping and meals

There are motels and camp grounds in the Santa Barbara area.

Rates

$200 per day for one person or a 3 day lesson package for $500
OR group rates....
$190 each per day for 2 people
$180 each per day for 3 people
$170 each per day for 4 people

Other Information

Bring water, a light snack, sunscreen, shoes that you can run in, pants, and water.
