Vacation Rental Property

You will live in a very nice and comfortable apartment in over 1,350 square feet, which features one master bedroom (one king size bed), and a second bedroom with two full-size beds (bunk bed) and a third full-size bed. The unit sleeps up to 5 persons comfortably (please ask for special accommodations in case you’re traveling with more people.) There is plenty of closet space available in the bedrooms. We provide bedding and sheets. The second bedroom is also the kids’ playroom, equipped with various toys and games.


Our apartment also features a spacious family/living room, a dining room that seats 6, a full kitchen with a breakfast nook that seats 5, a full bathroom with tub and shower, and a guest half-bath. There are hardwood floors in all rooms—no grungy carpets!

Amenities

The family room has a LCD TV with European satellite programming, and a DVD player. A large sofa with many cushions allows you to relax while reading a book or watching a movie. We also offer complimentary high speed internet access (WiFi) and unlimited local phone calls.

An elegant dining room comfortably seats up to 8 persons. This allows you to enjoy meals and to casually sit together with friends while having a glass of wine.

The fully equipped kitchen has an electric stove and oven, a microwave, a full-sized refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a coffee machine. You can store groceries for a week or a month easily in the pantry. We also provide laundry soap, soaps in bath rooms, dishwasher tabs, toilet paper, paper towels, towels, an alarm clock, telephone, and linens.

A washer and dryer are available for your use in a laundry room in the basement.

The bedrooms offer beautiful views into the backyard and the open meadows and forest nearby. There is a spacious balcony that allows you to sit out on warm summer evenings to watch nature (while drinking a glass of wine, apple wine or some good German beer).
A large back-yard with a park-like setting is an ideal place for sitting outside in the evenings during the warm summer months. We also have a gas BBQ that can be used, along with an outdoor table that seats 4, chairs, and an umbrella.

There is plenty of space for parking in front of the house. You can park your car conveniently on the street in front of the building.

Services Offered

We can help you arrange the experience and know-how of a local person at your disposal while you explore the local area (cost is $150). We especially recommend a tour through Wetzlar’s historic old town. The Wetzlar tour typically takes about 3 hours.The tour guide speaks both English and German. For your convenience, we have compiled a special booklet about Wetzlar and its historic old town, which will be waiting for you in our apartment. Rates & Availability

- We rent the apartment on a daily or weekly basis.
- Minimum stay is 2 nights.
- The daily rate is $115 (USD) for 1 person. Each extra person is $30 per day.
- The weekly rate is $805 (USD) for 1 person. Each extra person is $210 per week.
- Lower rates are available off-season (between October and end of March) starting at $110/day, $700/week for one person
- We have flexible check-in and check-out days. Check-in time is after 3 p.m., check-out time is at 10 a.m.
- We require a 25% down-payment when making the reservation to lock and hold the apartment for your desired time frame. If the travel date is coming up in less than 30 days we require full payment in advance.
- We accept personal checks, credit cards, or PayPal (preferred.)
- A refundable security deposit of $500 (USD) is required. The security deposit will be mailed back to you after you check out. Please allow 1-2 weeks of processing time.
