Boat
Anthonia is a beautifully converted classic Dutch barge. Built in 1924, she is now our wonderful home here in Burgundy. Two spacious guest cabins, each with en suite facilities, provide comfortable accomodation for up to four guests.
Destinations
We cruise the superb waterways of Burgundy; the canal de Bourgogne , the canal du centre, the canal du Rhone au Rhin and the River Saone.
Typical Day
After a breakfast of croissant, steaming coffee and freshly baked French bread we cast off from our bankside mooring to cruise leisurely along the canal. The pace is slow and relaxed, passing through ancient villages, locks , tunnels and bridges. A cycle ride alongside the canal or down one of the many country lanes can wet the appetite for lunch, often served on the sun deck or in Anthonia's spacious wheelhouse. After lunch we will be your exclusive guides as we take a ride in our air conditioned vehicle to seek out a local chateau, a market, or perhaps a little wine tasting. Dinner is taken either on board or we may escort you to a local restaurant to savour the famous Burgundian fare.
Age range, type of group
