Sailboat
COME AND DO SOME R E A L SAILING ON THE SAILING SLOOP, "PWYLL" A 44 FOOT JEANNEAU SUNFIZZ. Pwill is a comfortable well equipped boat that handles very well and easy to learn on.
We cater to all levels of experience from novice to expert.
Sailing and touring among remote islands of the Dodecanese.
Begin your exploration of the seas and life aboard a sailing vessel aboard Pwyll, learning what it means to truely "live on the sea". You are invited to join in on all onboard activities in running and sailing the yacht.
The winds are steady and sustained in the Greek Islands of the Dodecanese making almost every day, a "sailing day".
This group of islands offer a unique opportunity to experience both the modern- and traditional Greek Island life as well as an excellent sailing vacation.

Come sail upon the seas in the same way as we who live on the sea do. Learn in a relaxed environment how to handle a sailboat, what all her working parts are and how to use them; stand the helm from the first day and feel in control of Pwyll.
We will introduce you to sailing- or help you further your skills, either way, it is an exciting vacation on the water sailing from island to island here in the Dodecanese.
You can also come and just let us sail the boat for your sailing experience on Pwyll.
Spend nights under the stars in the great out of the way anchorages that these islands provide; enjoy the island life in the small harbors and local tavernas by the shore; this trip is about experiencing Greek island life as well. We have been here in the islands over 15 years. We share with you are local knowledge and are welcomed as friends, not tourists, in the places we visit and dine.

If you have never been on the seas and just want to see what it is like, come sailing with us. There is no “push” to learn the ropes, learn as much, or as little, as you desire. Participate in the sailing of Pwyll up to your own comfort level, we help you to gain confidence and knowledge as you improve your skills.
As captain of Pwyll I like to give people the opportunity to be in a comfortable environment where they can learn at their own pace and level, from beginner to experienced sailors; each of my charters have been different, and the number of charters that I have done is lost in my 15 years experience of bringing people into the sailing world.
We do have sustained winds here, so this is real sailing.
We design your trip around your experience and the kind of sailing trip that you would like to do, weather permitting – we do respect the wind god Eolos!

Destinations
Each day includes sailing as well as time to do some exploring on these unique and out of the way islands of the Dodecanese chain located as far east as Greece extends before reaching the Turkish border - in fact, the ancient influence of Turkey is felt in these islands.
The day starts with a cup of coffee on deck. After breakfast (as well as before breakfast) there will be time for swimming and snorkeling before we set sail to our next destination.
Winds permitting, we will sail between 3-5 hours per day, from island to island, occasionally making more than one stop on the larger islands where there is more to see and do and the anchorages offer a variation of surroundings.

No two days are exactly alike, some days there will be more time for exploring on land and visiting the island villages, some days, more sailing - we go with the winds! This is a true live-aboard experience, hands on and relaxed.
Typical Day
Generally speaking, these trips are more intended for 16 years and older, although we don’t exclude children a priori. Families, couples, groups, singles -are all welcome.
There is not an age limit, but there is an “agility” limit: if you cannot balance well, get in and out of a rocking boat into a dingy, have any ambulatory problems or you are more than 50 pounds/25 kilos (4 stone) over your ideal weight, then you probably will not feel safe or comfortable on a 45 foot sailing boat.

Age range, type of group
There are two double sleeping cabins on Pwyll and space to sleep in the central saloon area.
Anyone who wishes to sleep under the stars in the cockpit is welcome to do so.
Morning and midday meals as well as snacks are included in the cost of the trip, all guests are expected to help in meal preparation and clean up. Beer and wine for evening consumption (only after docking) are also provided. Moderation is requested. Evening meals are generally ashore. Occasionally when we are out at anchor we will have a meal onboard. Guests are asked to contribute Euro 10 for onboard evening meals.
Sleeping and meals
No smoking is allowed on board or near the boat. Otherwise, there are really no restrictions to speak of, except being agile enough to get around and on and off of the boat !

The only requirement for this trip is that you are fit enough to get around and balance on the yacht. If you are not in shape you can start working on it from the day you book your trip! Stretching and balancing exercises, activities such as Tai Chi or Yoga, are all helpful in preparing for your sailing trip. If you think you might be susceptible to seasickness, we can help with that, many people fear they will have seasickness, but in reality, if you don’t have problems in a moving car, plane, train- you will overcome any discomfort right away – we have methods that will help greatly.

Your captain has over 16 years of experience in these waters . . and further afield. She is not disclosing her age, but can get along with all ages - and has - from 12-82!
All contact is directly with me, the captain, no go-betweens!
My objective is to give you the best trip that I can while practicing good sailing and safety; customizing your trip to your ability and expectations; teaching in a way that makes you feel comfortable and "at home"; taking you sailing where you otherwise would not be able to adventure to among lesser touristed islands and beautiful waters.
