Casa Rovai Guest House

Six spacious rooms in a large, quiet apartment located on the first floor of an historical palace in the heart of Florence.
The property is just a few steps away from the Duomo and Santa Croce Church. It has been in current owner’s family since the beginning of the 1900s.

Completely restructured in 2005, the apartment offers single, double and triple rooms (each with its own private bathroom), a large breakfast room and a living room for relaxing in.
Casa Rovai is tastefully decorated with original 19th and 20th century furniture.
Each room has its own private bathroom (inside the room or just outside), colour TV with satellite channels (Sat-TV), free ADSL internet connection and a safe.
In the common room we have set up an Internet corner with two desks at our guests’ disposal. This service is free.
Breakfast – Italian or Continental – is served in a large breakfast room, where our guests will find mineral water and a kettle for preparing tea or coffee throughout the day until late evening.

Single room: Room with double bed single use with ensuite bathroom.
Double room 1. La Passione: This room is named “the Passion” after the late sixteenth century frescoes representing scenes of the Via Crucis that can be found on the bedroom walls. It is a double room with an en-suite bathroom.
Double room 2. Il Giglio: The red lily, the emblem of Florence, adorns the ceiling of this large double/triple room. There is an en-suite bathroom and a sofa-bed. This room is particularly suitable for families.
Triple room 1. Il Glicine: A large double room, with en-suite bathroom and a put–me–up chair is furnished in a more contemporary, twentieth-century style. Upon request this room and La Lira one can be made inter-connecting, making it suitable for groups of friends or large families.
Triple room 2. I Putti: Two embracing angels encircle the late eighteenth century ceiling decoration of this room. It can be made into a large double, triple or quadruple room, with a leather sofa-bed. The en-suite bathroom and Our B&B has not a 24 hours check in, so it is very important for us to know the approximate time of your arrival to make sure we are there to
welcome you when you arrive.

Directions

In only five minutes walking time you can reach Piazza Duomo, the Uffizi, the Academy Museum and Santa Croce Church.
If you arrive by car, there are garages nearby with which we have special agreements for parking,
You can reach Casa Rovai from the main Santa Maria Novella train station by taking bus n.14 and getting off the Via Ghibellina stop (or by taking bus A, getting off at the Via Verdi stop).
