Ellen and Malcolm welcome you to their peaceful guesthouse in a pretty little village in the heart of the Vendeen countryside. Chauché is 60 km southeast of Nantes, France.

The property, which is surrounded by flowers and trees, is also bordered by a stream with views of open countryside and we have a vast garden where you can relax, or fish in the pond. BBQ facilities, bikes and private secure parking are available.

All bedrooms are upstairs and decorated in pastel colours with en-suite facilities and TV. There is a small lounge for guests and a breakfast room where a hearty continental breakfast is served.

There are many country walks nearby and we are at hand to advise you of the many things to see and do in this delightful area. We are situated 45 min from Nantes airport and the same driving time from lovely sandy beaches. Our nearest big towns are La Roche sur Yon and Les Herbiers, both 20 mins away. The famous Puy du Fou theme park(April to Sept.) where you can learn about the history of the Vendee is 25 km from the property and is a great day out for adults and children alike. The famous night time show(June to Sept.) is unique in the world and is not to be missed.(reservation service available).

Directions

From Nantes take the motorway A83 towards Bordeaux. Leave this motorway at exit 4 'Gendarmerie'. Follow the signs for 'L'Herbergement' then 'Les Brouzils' then 'Chauche'. Enter the village of Chauché, go past the bar on the left, continue past the bakers on the right and the church. You will come to a stop sign, turn right towards 'Les Essarts' and we are situated 100m on the left, just before the little bridge.
Please note that arrival time at this property is after 12noon and check out on the day of departure is by 10.30am.
