Description
The Anniversary Inn - South Temple, is located in the Avenues section of downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, known for its Victorian era houses, artsy culture, and its proximity to downtown. This bed and breakfast is approximately one-and-one-half miles from Temple Square.
The property was built in the late 1800s and retains the architectural details from that period, including towering turrets and intricate stone detailing. Complimentary breakfasts are provided each morning. The inn includes a gift shop, which sells roses, logo wear, movie packs with popcorn, and even massages.
Guestrooms at this bed and breakfast are each designed around a specific theme. Enjoy an evening in the Neptunes Cave room which features walls painted with under water scenes, and an octopus at the head of the bed. Or, among other rooms, spend the night in the Hayloft of an old barn complete with all the cozy feelings of the farm. All rooms include jetted tubs, TVs, and DVD players. Upon check-in, guests will enjoy sparkling cider, cheesecake for two, and breakfast served the following morning.
The inn's namesake, South Temple Street, leads to Temple Square, which is named after the 6-spired granite Mormon Temple in its center. The temple was designed by Salt Lake City's original city planners and Mormon pioneers, including Brigham Young, and took almost 40 years to complete.
