Camping Tours of Namibia can be from a 3 day Camping Tour to Sossusvlei to a 21 Day northen Namibia camping tour.Destinations in neighbouring countries can be included when you request your destination or areas you want to visit on your tour. Tailormade camping can also be planned .Accommodated tours can be arranged upon request.
The 3 day camping tour to Sossusvlei departing from the coast takes you through the Namib Naukluft Park ,we stop at various points of interest and have lunch in the Kuiseb or Gaub Canyons.We arrive at Sesriem Campsite late afternoon and after pitching camp go to a vantage point to view sunset.
Day 2 of this tour are started very early,normally one and half hours before sunrise,we enter the park 1 hour before sunrise when the gates open to enable us to reach Dune 45 before sunrise.You will ascend the dune and view the spectacular sunrise from the top.The tour will continue now to Sossusvlei,the Tschauhab river ends here ,flowing further to the coast under the dunes.After we have done a tour of the vlei area we continue onto Deadvlei where you can photograph hte dead Camelthorn trees and experience the silence of this vlei.A real experience and the highlight of many a tourist on this tour.Lunch in the shade of the trees at Deadvlei parking and then onto either Hiddenvlei if you still have the energy left or back to the campsite to rest a bit, wait for the worst heat to run off and then onto Sesriem Canyon to view this cayon where the geological history is quite vissible .Sunset will be viewed from here.
Evening can be spend stargazing or just relaxing at the campfire.

Day 3 will take us back to the coast,we again stop at various points of interest and arrive back late afternoon,dependant on progress made during the day.

Age range, type of group

The camping tours of Namibia are for all ages and families,groups or just a few friends can participate . The only limmitation are that 3 people do the tour or with an ajustment of the rates couples can do it.Tours to areas where hiking trails are done needs a medical cerificate of fitness, some areas are very remote and medical facillities hours away because of the remoteness and sometimes rough road conditions.

Sleeping and meals

Tents are used and 2 people of the same sex or couples share.If only 1 of a sex in the group a seperate tent will be supplied.If you are not willing to share a seperate tent will be supplied at additional cost.Normally campmatresses are used , with arrangement cambeds can be supplied.Sleeping bags and pillows are provided on any camping tour.
We prepare all meals in the camp with limmited participation from everyone.Special dietary requirements must be mentioned when inquiry is made about your planned tour.Vegetarian dietary requirements are met on any tour ,please inform me when you your inquiry.
No alcoholic drinks are included in any price and you must provide for yourself.

Coastal Day Tours can range from full day to half day tours and are done from either coastal town, Walvis Bay and Swakopmund.Tours avilable are,Sandwich Harbour Full Day Tour,Welwitchia Drive(Half Day) Namib, Scenic Drive(Full Day),Cape Cross/Lichen fields(Half Day), Angling Tour(Full Day)Living Desert Tour(Half Day) etc.

Activities can be arranged with various operators ,Sandboarding, Quadbiking, Kayaking, Hiking Trails,Scenic Flights,Paragliding,Mountain climbing, cycling etc.

Affordable accommodation are available for the tourist /backpacker at Loubser's B&B/Backpackers.

Discounts Offered

Tourist staying at Loubser's B&B get 10% discount on any tour if the group exceeds 3 people. Tour prices will be adjusted if the groups are bigger than 5 people.

Pickup can be arranged at cost form the International Airports in the region or tours can be planned to start from your point of entry.
